"Y-y/n... Please..." she heard a voice that sounded so familiar to her. It was deep and raspy, you could tell that his throat needed some water to quench his thirst but his voice was nothing similar to an old man's.
She looked around the place where she was yet she could see nothing but darkness. She couldn't even see her own body, she can't feel anything other than coldness and it made her shiver.
"Y/n, please don't leave me..." the voice cried before breaking into loud sobs. His breathing was heavy as if he was running out of oxygen to breath in. "Please, help me..." it continued.
Looking around her once again, she spotted someone sitting on the ground. A small amount of brightness shone down on him for her to be able to see him.
Dongju.
He's still wearing the same blood stained uniform from the last day she saw him. His face was buried on his bloody hands, "Please, Y/n..." his voice cracked. She could feel her chest tighten and her heart clench by the broken sight of him.
With small steps, she approached him. She crouched down to him and hesitantly, she placed a hand on his shoulder. His body stopped shaking from his sobs. "D-dongju?" she called for him.
He slowly took off his hands from his face and lifted his head. His puffy eyes met her worried ones, his tears that were flowing from his eyes got mixed with the blood from his hands and they stained his cheeks.
"Y/n... You came back." he smiled as a sigh of relief escaped his bruised lips. She confusedly nodded, "Y-yes... Why are you crying? What's wrong?—" she was cut off by his embrace.
He was desperately holding on to her as if his life depended on her. His arms were tightly wrapped around her waist and his face was buried on the crook of her neck. "Y/n, don't leave me ever again... you promise, right?" he started crying again.
She softly rubbed his back, using her hand to calm him down. She hummed, "I... I promise..." after she said those words, the small brightness disappeared and the darkness filled everything again.
"Y/n!" the said girl shot up from her bed and looked around her. Seoho is there, standing beside her bed. Hands were placed on his hips as he looked at her, unimpressed. "What the hell, Y/n? I've been trying to wake you up for almost ten minutes!" he shouted at her.
She sighed, rubbing her temples when she felt her head ached a bit from his loud voice. "Keep it down, Seoho. It's too early in the morning and stop shouting, you're hurting my head."
"What do you mean, early in the morning?! It's 7:35 am, you idiot! We're late!" her eyes widened and looked at the clock to confirm his statement before she jumped out of her bed.
"Shit shit shit shit shit!" she cursed as she ran into the bathroom and slammed the door closed.
"Oh shit— Seoho! Can you get my towel?!"

Luckily, Ms. Yoo didn't mind Seoho and Y/n for being late since they won't be having their scheduled classes for the whole day because today is the last day of Dongju before his burial tomorrow so they're all going to pay him a visit.
Even if most of the class didn't want to go, they have no choice because Ms. Yoo is keeping an eye on all of them. "Remember guys, no one is leaving unless I allowed you to and behave well. Don't make any loud noises and respect Dongju's death." the teacher gave them her last instructions before leading them inside the chapel.
Everyone found themselves some seats and settled down before another small group of people entered the place. Y/n assumed that they were Dongju's family since some of them had the looks similar to Dongju and they sat at the front seats.
One of them stood up and walked up to the front, next to Dongju's coffin. He's mid-fifties and some wrinkles are already visible on his face. "Greetings, everyone. Thank you for coming in, I know this would mean a lot to my son..." he started his speech.
Y/n paid attention to what he was saying and at the same time, she'd often observe the behavior of the people there. Most of them had their attention to somewhere else, some were acting as if they're sad and sorry while some took selfies then posting it to their social media accounts and others played with their phones.
How disrespectful.
She let out a disappointed sigh and shook her head. Can't they be good to Dongju for once? Is it so hard to do that? After Dongju's family did their speech which didn't took long enough, all the students were said to be allowed to go home early.
"Y/N?" Seoho called for his friend who was staring into space. Breaking out of her deep thoughts, she looked up at him. "Huh? You said something?"
"Do you want to go home now? We're not having classes for today." she looked around the chapel and saw only a few people were left, all of the students had rushed outside without bidding their last goodbye to Dongju.
"Oh uhm... yeah. Just give me a moment here. I'll catch up with you later on." Seoho nodded with a small smile. "Okay then. I'll wait for you outside." she watched him walk to the exit before standing up and approached the coffin where Dongju was laying down.
Once she got a glance at his face, she can't help but to cry. She might not have some sort of special relationship with him but she would feel a lot of mixed emotions everytime she'd see him or hear his name.
No matter what, he's still a human who deserved everything that is better from what he have been through when he was still alive. Seeing the scars and bruise marks on his face that the make up failed to cover, she felt terrible for not being able to help and protect him from the people who had hurt him.
"I-i'm so sorry, D-dongju..." she cried.
