178 days before (Love story)

After what happened yesterday, we were in shock. Of course, everyone will be in shock. Later that day we called our teacher to tell her what happened and she let us take off from school for two days because she thought we were tired. Even we were stuck in the countryside, hearing that I have 1 spare day to relax made me happy.

Yesterday was actually fun, which I've never thought it would be. After the driver left us dumbfounded, maybe Jungkook and I looked very pitiful, that's why grandma and grandpa suddenly decided to make us help them with the farm work and so on. It was not a big deal, I would never refuse to help elders but they made it fun.

We cleaned the stable, listened to their love story's parts which were untold yet, forced to talk about our love story! Yeah, our love story. There was nothing to tell, but they were begging too much and it seemed like I can't handle them anymore, so I decided to make up a story. Just before getting started, Jungkook became the one to tell them "our story".

"If you are really interested in our love story, I will tell you, grandparents" he smiled gently.

I just looked at him, trying to guess what he is going to tell them.

"It started when I first saw her in the school cafeteria. She really looked like an angel"

"How cute you two awww... please go on"

"I really thought I was daydreaming. After seeing her in the cafeteria, I tried to be seen by her wherever she goes. Fortunately, one lucky day we had a conversation, and we just talked naturally. 1 month after that I asked her out."

"How did you ask her out? It's so interesting because you two didn't talk about your lives"

"Ummm ... I was plann ... no, no I prepared a romantic dinner on a pickup truck"

"Pickup truck?"

"Yeah, I borrowed my brother's car to invite JiEun over dinner"

"So you ate dinner in the car??"

"Not exactly, but we sat on the back of the truck"

"oh, I see"

"I prepared blankets, pillows to seat and placed a bed table"

"Where did you go?"

"We didn't go that far, we just went to a place where we could see stars clearly and breath fresh air. And -"

"- We were staring at the stars while eating the dinner that Jungkook brought and suddenly he started to tell me about how he felt about me, how I make him feel and how he wanted to feel that way for the rest of his life. That's the story" I finished the story.

Jungkook looked at me in confusion.

"Daebak, what a romantic night that was, waaa"

"It reminds me of our old times, yeobeo" grandma said while giggling.

Jungkook was still staring at me without blinking. I tried not to make any eye contact with him, so I looked away immediately.

"Why is he looking at me like that? He is the one who started this story, I was just helping him hmph!"

JUNGKOOK'S POV:

Grandparents were keep asking us about our love story so I thought that I should come up with a story.

That wasn't hard at all. Because I used to think that I would ask a girl out when I have my own car when I was in the middle school. So yeah the whole idea about the pickup truck and the stars had been in my head for more than 5 years. And for some time, I was ready to make this plan into reality when I first saw that girl. The girl who was making me feel confused continuously.

And about the first impression of JiEun... I was being honest. Yeah honest.

I was near to the end but right before finishing it, Jieun did. Actually I have never thought about what to tell to a girl when it comes to really asking her out. I have no idea. But she finished. She made it easier somehow. Maybe she knew that I couldn't finish my sentence or is it how girls react? Or is it me? Why I'm overthinking again? Oh god...

JIEUN'S POV:

Today kinda seems nice, you know, yesterday we had fun, and today we're leaving. Sad and happy, again.

But Jungkook hasn't talked to me that much since yesterday. Is it because of the story? or? I don't know. Aghhhh, I wish I could know.

JUNGKOOK'S POV:

It was a little bit awkward for us. We've talked for a brief moment then went back to silence. Is it because of that story? "She didn't mention anything about it, so what could it be?"

Jieun looked tired because soon she was sleeping and banging her head into the window, it must've hurt. So I decided to put her head on my shoulder. I didn't think of anything else, I just wanted to prevent her from hurting her head.

The moment she leaned on me, I smelled her scent. Elegant yet comforting... she was way too close to me. I carefully observed her creatures. Small but cute nose, long eyelashes, that ... that kissable cheeks and ... and that lips. I wanted to kiss her so badly at that moment. I don't remember how I managed to ignore her presence and slept. But we both woke up by someone shaking us and we've arrived.
