"Do I really have to go to school? Let's just tell mom that I'm sick. But I'll have to go to school tomorrow. I can't ignore his existence for the rest of my life, can I? Then let's encounter this problem once at all." As thoughts wandering endlessly in Jieun's head, she grabbed her blankets and get up from the bed. From the moment she made it to bathroom, to the moment she entered the classroom and saw Jungkook, her mind was full of doubts. Whether she should just ignore it or talk about it. Talking about that thing will be stupid and awkward, of course. But he would sure know that she is lying if she pretend not to remember anything, tho. She only had 2 options, but both of them seemed like they were supposed to torture her.

She wanted to look away, or cry, or just leave the classroom, but god and Jieun know she can't.

SZ: "Gwenchana, Jieun-ah? I'm still having a headache, are you okay?"
JE: "Oh-? Uh, gwenchana gwenchana. It's better than I expected." She replied as she sit besides them only to feel her blood pressure increases because Jungkook was sitting right in front of them.
JY: "You guys should've thought about the consequences before you drank that much, aigoo."
SZ: "Look who's talking now, huh? You're the one who couldn't stand on her feet, so Sehun had to grab you on his back!"
JY: "Did he? Awww... how cute of him?"
SZ: "Ewwww..."
JE: "Don't you remember anything, Jiyeon-ah?" Jieun knew Jungkook was listening to their conversation, so she increased her voice a little.
JY: "Surprisingly, yeah!!! I remember dancing, but nothing after that."
JE: "Daebakk!!! I don't remember anything too. I remember talking to bartender and then, I was in my bed. Like I teleported! We kinda have some similarities, huh?" she faked her laugh, tried not to look suspicious while using this opportunity to pretend she doesn't remember anything.
SZ: "Next time, we go clubbing, I won't give you two a single drop of alcohol."
JY: "Same for us."
JE: "Then, non-alcohol party? ㅋㅋㅋ"

Jieun was successful. Not because she made her friends laugh, but because she told Jungkook that she doesn't remember anything in indirect yet clear way.

JY: "Are you sitting in the library again?"
JE: "Mmhm... I still have something to do with my essay, and the deadline is in 4 days, so yeah."
SZ: "Then we'll get going, Jieun-ah."
JY: "Yeah, make sure you eat while working on your essay."
JE: "Arasso, you two get home safely"

Jieun was running out of idea because she was too hungry to think of anything.
"What more should I write in my personal statement essay? I think this version is adequate but in someway it's not meeting with my expectations. Ughh, what should I do??? Before stressing out again, let's just find something to eat." Jieun got up from her seat to go out. But she saw familiar figure in front of her.

"Jungkook..."
"Long time no see"
"It's been literally 2 days since we last met" she nervously chuckled.
"Yeah, that's true..."
"Were you sitting in the library too? -Actually I was a little bit busy, mind if I go?" She tried to pass him without listening to his answer, but he grabbed her by the wrist.
"Where are you going?"
"Umm... to eat something"
"Let's go together"

"So... were you working on your application form again?"

"Yeah, I'm quite busy these days"

"I see... Is it okay to work? I mean I thought you will have a headache or something?"

"Ahh, are you talking about clubbing? Fortunately I'm completely fine, thanks for asking"

"Mmmm ... Jieun-ah... do you have anything to tell me?"

"Oh... umm... No!"

"No? Mmm..."

"D-do you have anything to tell me?"

"Me? Ahh... no" he looked away because it was too painful to look into her eyes and lie. He wanted to say something so badly, but he knew it would make things even worse.

"Then I'll get going, see you around Jungkook-ah"

"...Um, yeah, see you around!"

Jieun left Jungkook alone even though she knew he would go back to library. They could've gone together. But it seems like both of them don't want to.

Insecurity is eating both of them, making them believe that the other side is holding a different opinions about them. Jieun thinks of her as one of Jungkook's numerous mistresses, whereas Jungkook thinks that Jieun was not into him...

After spacing out for more than 30 minutes, Jungkook found himself tired, sad, giving up.
As he entered the library's door and walked weakly towards his chair, he heard that charming laugh and stopped there. Trying to record this laugh in his head at any cost. He heard the charming laugh once again. This time he looked in the direction. There Jieun sitting. Besides her, a guy sitting. Laughing together. His arms almost touching her. Looking straight into each others' eyes.

This scene made Jungkook decide to completely forget what they did a few days ago. This scene made him force his feeling to disappear. This scene made him give up. This scene made him leave the library abruptly with a pain in his heart.
