Thursday /mission day #5/

on the way to university

For the last few days, Jungkook and Jieun are walking together to their university, talking and laughing. And both of them didn't forget to wear the necklaces which have J💜J on them. Today was just one of those days.

"But you're really good at making people happy" Jieun said in a proud tone. "Ani, it's not that I'm good at it, it's because of you" As he said it, they both looked into each others' eyes, slowly sinking into them without their knowledge.

"I can guarantee you that if I wasn't here for you, you would be sitting in front of your laptop 16 hours a day!" Jungkook said. "There is no guarantee needed, that's the truth by itself ㅋㅋㅋㅋ" Jieun agreed that her life would be a complete mess and unhealthy without Jungkook. "It's like you're keeping my balance" Jieun said while rubbing her forehead.

"That's what people do for the ones who they care, isn't it? Let's say that I don't wanna see you ill, injured, or even sad."

"Hmm ... I get it, aaaaand what are you doing today, Mister?"

"Finish your sentence"

"Umm... I think I finished"

"No"

"Yes!"

"You should finish that sentence with 'better say doing you right'"

"You little perverted devil"

They continued their conversation by running... I mean... Jieun chasing Jungkook.

after classes

"Jieun-ah, didn't you bring the volleyball ball?" Jiyeon asked Jieun while looking at her empty hands.

"No... what volleyball ball are you talking about?"

"Jungkook said that-"

"Don't worry, I got everything" Jungkook approached them from their back suddenly. He was driving a van, which can freely contain 8 people. As he neared them, he said again "I got everything"

"Okay, then let's go!" Suzy said and opened the door only to see Sehun and Jackson waving at them from the back seat of the van.

"So, this time, you all planned this without telling me?" Jieun said in a fake angry voice while getting into the van.

"I thought you knew about this, that's why I asked you about the ball!" Jiyeon said.

"Huh? Then it's you again, Mr.Jeon"

"By the way, why are you calling him Mister? That sounds ... strange! ㅋㅋㅋ" Jackson asked while laughing so hard.

"Aghh, it's just - I actually use it to mock him ㅋㅋㅋㅋ" Jieun said then looked at Jungkook who was driving, with a subtle smirk.

As they were playing volleyball on the beach, "Okay, one more point to Jungkook and Jieun's team." "That's technical fault Sehun-ah" "One more point to Jackson and Suzy's team." were almost everything that could've been heard.

Whenever Jieun was in front of the net with Jungkook, she could only admire his presence. "How can he be this good at everything?". Sometimes she unconsciously dodged the ball and missed it because she was glancing at Jungkook, filling her head with thoughts about him. Even though she was failing, Jungkook would come to her and say "You're doing great, babe" and tap lightly on her head.

If someone sees them from distance, he will see six young friends enjoying their time. It is true, indeed. They were. But one more thing that he couldn't see was growing affections towards their loved ones. Not only towards their partners, but also towards their friends. Maybe this is what people call quality time.

After playing volleyball for a great deal of time, boys went to buy drinks from the store, and the girls were having their little chat while sitting on the sand.

JE: Ahh...I feel really happy.

SZ: Me too. We haven't been to the beach together for a long time, have we?

JY: Yeah, it's been a long time. I almost forgot how it feels to spend time with your friends. But for the last few days we've got more chances to be together thanks to them, right?

JE: Yeah... and lately, whenever I see Jungkook, I feel strange... a feeling I've never felt before. (After she said this she sighed and looked at the sky) And this strange feeling is making me ... I don't know ... kinda happy?

As Jieun said it Suzy and Jiyeon got the idea she was trying to express, and silently smirked while looking at the endless sea.

SZ: ...Remember I told you about my ridiculous idea about reading books?

JY: How could we forget it ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

SZ: I think... I think it's unnecessary to read books now.

JE: Why? Because it became real without books?

SZ: Yeah, you got it right... maybe me before him would say this sky looks just fine. But me after him is realizing how beautiful the sky is!

JY: I guess you've already changed from yesterday.

SZ: Yeah! ... we had a talk yesterday. And I got the courage! He made me feel like I deserve him.

Jungkook was successful that day. Won the friendly match, found an excuse to sit with Jieun at the back of the van on the way back home. He came up with a reason that he was too tired to drive back and warned them if he made an accident he wouldn't take the responsibility. It made them change the driver even though they didn't buy that.

As soon as the engine started, Jackson turned on the CD player, playing some vibrant music and others started to sing along. They didn't seem to notice the presence of the two who were sitting at the back of the van, almost hugging each other with a little bit of shyness.

"Jieun-ah, you know... the day after tomorrow is the 7th day of my mission"

"Yeah, I know...the last day."

"You don't have any idea how much I'm looking forward to that day"

"I have a fair idea"

"...Can I kiss you now?"

"Do you kiss someone who is not your girlfriend? Huh?"

"Then I'll wait for two more days, ani...I mean one and a half days?"
