Strawberry sunrise
You fall,
Like stars,
From the heavens.
You call,
My name,
In the night sky.
I see,
The sun,
As it rises.
The sky,
It turns,
To a brightness.
I could stand here,
By the sea;
Hold horizons,
Like we'd be.
And the pink light,
In the golden sky,
Spells our names,
Like diamonds lost in treasure,
Long forgotten.
I see the sea pearls,
Pink and purple.
Strawberry seasoned,
For these days.
And you're laughing,
As you stand there,
Silhouette against the purple skies.
The water lapping,
Against moss-covered stones.
Northern lights,
Shining bright,
Hold your eyes,
To the heavens.
Don't let go,
Of this strawberry sunrise,
Over the mountains,
As we stand here,
Hand in hand.
Watching this strawberry sunrise
From worlds apart.
