It's always the same,
No it doesn't change,
You hold on today,
Then Lights out,
It fades away.
Stand in the shade,
Watch as the night sky sparks-
A blaze.
As the dust glitters all around,
Your heart beats to the only sound,
And everything is lost,
And everything is gone.
But it's still the same.
Your eyes hold a trace,
Mind out of place,
You're back in those days,
when life was more,
Was more than This.
But snap back and your here again,
And times are nowhere near,
What they used to be.
And all that you can see,
Where the gold horizon meets,
Is memories of never,
Of times of never again.
Silent breaths escape,
And the stillness of the night,
Is your only covering cape.
And glistening water sways,
In the darkest of your days,
Because tomorrow is never,
Tomorrow is never again.
And it will still be,
It will still be the same.
