Song for the Ghost Piano
Play the piano my darling,
Play the piano for me.
I'll sit by the the window,
Watching the shadows,
Dance in the moonlight,
Listening to your sweet melody.
Play the piano,
My darling,
And I'll listen to you forever.
Let The beautiful sound echo through me,
Take me away.
Let this darkness disappear,
I don't want to be here,
A million years in the loneliness,
Take me away.
I can hear you play the piano,
Even if it is just my memory.
These wrinkles on my hands are not real.
The fading colour of my eyes is just a dream.
The white that falls as my hair was never true.
Because I'm still sitting near that window,
And I'm listening to you my darling.
I hear you play the piano,
Play the piano for me.
