3. Zhang is here?

1 week later.

"Pangzi.. Here". I handed him a coffee. It's been a week since I joined. However, our team doesn't have any job. The project didn't get approval from the government. And the Zhangs are now out of town. Pangzi told me we will officially start our job only after the Zhangs are here.

"Thank you."

"Mm"

And im lifeless now. I was so excited to be able to join here but this is nothing like I expected. I thought my job and spying will be exciting but it's so boring here.

The office is also a mess. Everyone comes in time. But then nobody will be on their desk. The two ladies will be sitting on a corner gossiping and sometimes will go down. Maybe there is another group. And the one man other than me and pangzi will be sleeping or gaming or surfing through the Internet. It's not an ideal workplace. I'm so done here.

"Wuxie.. You are being like those men who miss their wives. Haha,"

Pangzi hit me on my shoulder. He is always there encouraging me, lighting up the mood. He is a blessing to me. His jokes are the reason that I didn't run away yet. But..

"Hey, pangzi. Why you always mention a wife. I don't have a wife."

"Hehe.. Just a habit. But you don't have a wife now doesn't mean you won't have one in the future. Wuxie.. You come with me when I go through the other departments. Maybe you get a wife here."

He was holding my arm, his hands around my shoulder. I couldn't believe his mouth. Well, im getting used to it already. Pangzi is impossible.

"I don't want a wife. Drink the coffee."

I went to my desk and obviously, he didn't follow me. Maybe another round of stroll.

I leaned back to my chair. It was a turning chair and I like to swing in it at a slow pace with my eyes closed. It's a nice feeling. Peaceful.

"They are here. They are here. They are herreeeeee......"

That was loud. Now what?! Every team member jumped from their seat.

"Is there an earthquake?"
"No, it's pangzi."
"Is it an emergency alarm?"
"Let's ask him. Or should we just vacate right away?"

They were assuming all kinds of possibilities. I couldn't help but place my hands on my head.

Pangzi: They are here.

Teammate 1: Who?

Teammate 2: Police??

Teammate 3: Firefighters???

Teammate 2: There is a fire? Then let's go already. Come on...

It was a scene worth watching. How come there are only dumb people here. I mean of course excluding me. I looked at pangzi. Even if he didn't say anything, his face was giving them all kinds of shocked reactions. What is he doing?

Looks like that was a good run. He was out of breath and he had to listen to all those dumb talks.
