OK so this one diffrent
I was just packing the last of my items in my jeep a graduation present from my dad.I had already guaranteed a good job for myself in downtown la. I was going to surprise my boyfriend and go see him for a surprise vacation I wasn't a huge fan of new York but my baby was a dancer and had worked hard to get into julliard so I bought my plane ticket and after I dropped my things off at my house I was gonna fly out . The drive from UCLA to my house felt like it took forever but as I arrived I realized the house my aunt left me two years ago was in better condition then I had first thought and was a lot bigger.
I parked outside the garage and went in The house was huge.My dad said it was a nice 3bed 2 bath the last time he had been here 10 years ago but my aunt had done some work so it may be different. That was an understatement.In my wandering I found 5 bedrooms 3 of which were masters and the other 2 had a jack and Jill bath I'd never have to move again.I even found an attached office off the biggest room I had claimed for myself.I placed my things down and figured I'd do some shopping in a month after my inhertince kicked in.Shrugging I locked up reset the alarm and headed to the airport. As the plane headed for new York I was practically bouncing in my seat I hadn't seen Paul on 3 months and I was anxious I was a 24 yr old virgin and I was finally ready to lose it to my man I mean after 5 years he defiantly deserved it. As the ayyrndant noted we were descending I began planning a quick escape.
As soon as I was off the plane backpack on hand I got in a txi and rattled off the address in a slightly high squeal.The cab ride took a little over 20 minutes and once I paid the cab I took a calming breath and knocked on the door.The smile on my face was jaw splitting until a man opened the door.O this must be his roomaye James."Hi Im here to see Paul is he home yet?' I asked and the man shook his head no. " um but your welcome to come in and wait he should be home in a couple hours." He said and I nodded walking in. The place was not what Paul had described it was quaint and only seemed to have 2 doors.But I let it slide as the guy offered me a drink and talked to me about himself.He was pretty med and going to med school after this summer he was sad to have to leave his boyfriend behind.I asked who he was and he brought me a picture of Paul and him and I choked on my tea." Woah be careful there." He said and I gently set my cup down.My hands shaking."So you and Paul how long have you two been together?" I asked hoping my voice wasn't to shaky. He had a smile on his face." Four years we met in freshman year.He was standoffish at first like he had a man but he let me in after a couple months.I miss him when he goes to visit his cousin grant in LA." He said. I could feel the tears welling in my eyes.cousin. He went on to explain the weekend trips and one Christmas when he had begged to go with him to the family function but Paul always said no. I nodded and after 15 minutes of hearing about there love and his plans of engagement I decided to leave."Tell Paul his cousin grant stopped by." I said and the man nodded."anything else," he asked. "Yes let him know I graduated salutorian and I'll be off the grid on vaca for the next week." I said before leaving . I was only a block away when o broke down in tears.I couldn't see to hail a cab so I just kept walking ending up in a business district of downtown.When I could see a cab I held a cap to the chardonnay in mabhatttan it was one of my dads so I would be able to stay free.The receptionist gave me my key and I took the elevator up to my room the tears till streaming.I knew my parents would be calling me soon.I had never used the family name before although it was welcome to all of us I always wanted to make my own name and use my own money but this time it was different heartbreak in true form.
Sure enough an hour later my room phone rang my father on the other end."what happened son. What did he do?" He asked his voice calm. " 4 years dad ever since,ever since I told him I wanted to wait.Is that so bad.I wanted it to be special to save myself until we were both ready until I could focus on is more and bow this." I said.
