Part two of fixing a broken heart jackson and Huey......
Huey
Its been 2 years since I've been home and San Fran has been great for me and the boys.I got a letter from Sarah today.There baby Stan would be 2 soon and she wanted me to come to his birthday begged me actually. I had begrudgingly agreed.I stood from the couch and grabbed the leashes to take the dogs out for a walk. I needed to clear my mind and a hike would be good for them.
I was halfway through the trail when Goliath and warrior began a barking frenzy. The two pulled me a little ways off so I let them go and followed behind. They had found a young man. He looked to have fallen and was injured.He was bigger than me so carrying him was out of the question. I used my cell to call 911 and stated with him. Kneeling down and taking his good hand." Hey look at me help is on the way.. Um can you tell me your name?" I asked and he grunted." M my name is deuce." He said and I smiled." That's good I'm Huey my dogs warrior and Goliath found you.Can you tell me what happened?" I asked he jumbled a quick fell. " come on deuce talk to me tell me about you." I said trying to keep him awake." I um I have a dog named thunder and....ugh...I'm 27 and gosh your pretty Huey." He said and I let out a soft giggle." Tell me your last name?" He asked .Goliath and warrior began to bark and I heard rustling." My name is Huey Masterson and I'm 25 now let's get you some help the paramedics are bear." I said whistling for my dogs to come back.They came the paramedics right on their tales.When they got to me they sat down and watched the medics."My dogs must have heard him they brought me here just like you he fell from somewhere up there his name is deuce 27." I said. They noded and secured him before taking him away. I grabbed the leashes and decided it was time we head home. Life was back to normal until Friday when I was called into my bosses office." You called sir." I said. But he didn't speak instead he stood and hugged me tight he felt to his knees trembling." Thank you Huey thank you so much.'?" He said but I was confused. He let go and turned a picture on his desk making me freeze.He stood with a smile as he hugged someone close.I took the picture from him and was shocked.The man in the picture was deuce how had I not noticed the resemblance." He's your brother?" I asked and he nodded." He's had me looking all over for you and when he told me your name as the person who saved him he's been begging to see you.I'll watch the kids while you go to the hospital ." he offered and I nodded in agrieance as I took my car headed for the hospital. I found his room easy enough and he looked awful.He was sleep but his face was clearly more swollen and he had a cast on his right leg and arm.And there appeared to be raps on his torso.He sat up slightly and looked around until his eyes landed on me ." he he found you that quick." He said.I nodded." It would be hard not to I'm his p.a." I said and he smiled." You the horses.now I understand." He said and I nodded." You wanted to see me?". I asked and he nodded." I know I'm not in the best shape but I want to take you out on a date." He said .Now I was the one shocked I had never been on a date before. But I nodded in agreement. He smiled at me and i leanded over giving him a gentle peck on the forehead.
It had been 3 month's since i had met deuce and everything had been great.Our dated though had been confined to his home due to his injuries and our dog's had bonded well everything was good sighne but i knew i would have to go home or i could never trully give deuce a chane i'd have to let jacson go and that meant talking to him. So with a goodbye kiss from deuce who was watching the dog's i was on the next flight to newyork. The entire flight i was a nervous wreck i hadn't seen anyone here in year's and i had changed alot.I had started working out and my once thin frame was now more muscular and i had grew tired of my boring look and now sported a sleve of tattoo's and my once dark brown hair was now bleach blonde almost a white color i even changed my law focus from divorce and now did family law california had changed me in a good way i just hoped everyone would see it that way.
I walked out of the airport and instantly saw sarah.She smiled and gave me a tight hug before walking me to the car."Where's the baby?" asked and she told me at home with jackson it was high time i met my godson. I smiled because i was shocked i no longer envied sarah i felt fine and boy did it feel good. The drive to thier home was about 30 minutes and it wasn't what i expected honestly it was a regular apartment complex odd i thought.Sarah must have noticed the look on my face as she spoke up."Jackson never wanted a home say's there not worth the extra cost but with # 2 on the way i'm hoping for a change." she said as she turned off the car. I followed behind her slowly as we took the fancy elevator to the 6th floor and soon into the apartment.i took a breath before entering and walked in. Jackson sat on the couch with his son. I didn't speak a word as i stared and realization dawned. It was gone.I no longer felt the deep desire to kiss him, or touch him.He was just jackson.And in that moment he turned to stare at me.The butterfly's didn't come but the shock on his face spoke volume's before he opened his mouth to speak."h h huey is that really you?" he asked and i nodded.
He walked over baby in hand as he wrapped me in a hug."i i i'm sorry man i didn't know." he stammered but i just shrugged it off."can i hold my godson?" i asked instead and he nodded as he held out the baby who instantly smiled.The rest of the trip was me getting to know him and jackson telling me about his realization and a pologizing honestly it was getting annoying.But the text's from deuce kept a smile on my face. i even skype called him so everyone could meet yesterday but there had been no messages since and i was worried as i got on the plane home.
When i arrived i was surprised to not see deuce waiting for me so i took the cab to his house and knocked. The door opened and i couldn't breathe..The entry way was lined with candles and i followed them until the trail turned to rose petals andi looked up to see deuce with flower's in hand and leaning on a pillow."deuce this..this is beautiful." i said and he smiled "and so are you." he said as he struggled but got up on his own taking me into his arm's his lips placing a gentle kiss on my lip's. He let me go to hobble to the bed put quickly pulled me on top of him. I smiled down at him and he chucked."Why the monster grin?" he asked. And i gave him a gentle peck before sitting up."When i moved here i was broken a shell of what used to be and i still was until i met you.If my dog's hadn't of met you i probally stilll would be but you helped me rediscover myself.You mad me rember to care as i helped you heal and to live as even though you couldn't leave you forced me to concert's and out to get new food's from other restraunts... you deuce mended my heart." i said kissing my man.
