(didnt like it)

"So... yeah. Can't beat that." Lin said, watching Jonathan fondly.

"Mhm." Groff said softly. He glanced towards his lips. Fuck it.

He threw himself against Lin, hoping for the best. Lin made a strange sound, but it wasn't necessarily a protest against the kiss. In fact, after immediately ending the live stream, he dropped the phone and wrapped his arms around Groff.

Getting lost in each other, they finally pulled away, gasping for air. Then, they both started to freak out.

"Oh my god, Vannesa!"

"I-"

Lin turned, and made for the door. Unlike every romantic sob story, Jonathan had common sense to reach out for his hand.

"Wait, I'm sorry. I-It was just for the fans. Right? Unless..."

Lin stared at him in shock. Jon stared at the ground in rejection.

"Right." He whispered in response. He took a risk, and stepped forward, still hand in hand. Groff had started crying.

Lin brought Jonathan's hand to his mouth, gently pecking it. He wanted to help. He was right. The kiss didn't mean anything. But that didn't mean they still didn't love each other. Only as friends, of course.

"Please don't leave me." He asked quietly. What could he say? Lin was such a majestic person. He had so much energy, so much love. Jonathan wanted to be around that, forever.

He cleared his throat. "Never."

And so, they stood there. Hand in hand. Lin staring at Jonathan, loving from a distance. Jonathan staring at anywhere but Lin, not being able to find the strength in him to love from a distance, or from anywhere at all.

At the end of the night, they found each other under the bed sheets.

(They've never had a sexual experience, no. But still, being wound up in each other's embrace, seeking that person was much more intimate than any other encounter.)

(unfinished, might try and finish it tho :/)

"Yeah, of course! I mean, honestly, Heights Too Musical is a genius remake."

"Oh, thanks! I-" Lin said, being cut off.

"Lin-Manuel!" Luis and Luz said in unison. Lin's parents were in the neighborhood, paying their son a visit.

He quickly spinned around, immediately recognizing his parents' voice. The same voice that had scolded him, raised him, loved him. The thing was, he wasn't ready. At all. Living in a Puerto Rican household meant trying to live up to everyones expectations and wants. And being Lin, well, he always did the opposite.

To add on to this stress, he had just recently came out as bisexual, and his parents were shocked to say the least.

"Mama! Papa..." He glanced at Jonathan, seeing his confusion. Nervously chuckling, he continued "What brings you here, did I miss lunch or something?"

"Are we not allowed to visit our son?" Luis asked, his arms reaching out.

Sheepishly accepting the awkward embrace, he responded, "Of course not, I'm just surprised is all."
