"I didn't mean to cause a problem at dinner." Hermione said, once in Harry's bedroom after dinner. "You...didn't do anything wrong." Harry whispered, before he walked into the bathroom to get changed. "I can't promise they'll fit the best." Remus said, handing Hermione some pajamas, nearly bought. "Thanks. May I ask you a question about Harry?" She asked. "I may not answer, but you may ask." Remus said. "He was abused, wasn't he?" She asked and after a sigh. "Is it that obvious?" Remus asked. "Not quiet. I...just know what to look for." She admitted. "The story you choose not to share at dinner?" Remus asked. "Not quiet. That is the reason my boyfriend struggles to let me go places without him. My little body guard. I just...The school didn't know what was wrong and anything need wise would have been listed. It's the only a logical explanation." Hermione said. "So you didn't really know." Remus said. "No, I'm sorry. I just...knew something else was going on and don't want to upset him." She admitted. "I thank you for that. Harry...Will have to tell you in his own time, what happened to him." Remus said. "Fair enough. Thank you for your hospitality. I do apologize for any future problems with my Boyfriend. I promise...He has reasons." Hermione said softly. "I can handle it." Remus said and she smiled lightly.
On their walk to school the next morning, Hermione once again, Tried to talk him out of befriending Draco Malfoy. Harry was sure, however, of his choices. They were joined on their walk by Ron and some of his older brothers who...Made Harry uncomfortable. "I...have something to do before school starts." Harry said, before he ran ahead of them and disappeared form their view.
Harry didn't stop running either until he got to the school gate and let out a sigh. Maybe he shouldn't have ran away like that...But he was very uncomfortable. It was well over an hour before class started, so he wondered the school yard until he got to the parking lot. He seen the fancy car quickly pull in and hide behind the half wall, peeking around the wall. Draco got out of the car, and was even more broken then before. His leg was in a cast now. His backpack and jacket was thrown out the car before it hurried back off. Harry ran over. "Now you have to answer the-" Harry started. "Leave it alone, new boy." Draco whispered, as Harry put the jacket on his shoulders. "No. Your arm and now your leg? The bruises on your arms are between last night and a week old. You aren't safe." Harry said. "Look! Why do you care so damn much?" Draco asked, before Harry slowly pulled up his shirt. His torso covered in held scars and a what looked like a stab scar. "Is...that a stab mark?" Draco asked, easing down on the wall as car come back only to throw the crutches out the window. "My uncle stabbed me and now I only have one kidney. I didn't get help until he almost killed me. I won't...let you get killed because you won't get help." Harry said. "I have no where else to go...Or anybody else, and Group homes and Foster care can be so much worst." Draco whispered. "Come home with me. My parents are foster parents. You can stay with us." Harry said, handing Draco the crutched. "You can't promise that." Draco said. "I almost can...Look, I'm going to report it...I have to. I won't let you be killed...so please come home with me." Harry said and after a long pause. "Okay..." Draco whispered. At lunch, Hermione sat down beside Harry. "I suppose you were right about Malfoy." Hermione said. "I'm used to people not believing me. So, it's okay." Harry said. "Harry, I don't mean anything by it...I just worry." Hermione said. "I understand. Just, believe me next time, please." Harry said, and she give a nod.
It took them longer to get to Harry's house after school, because they kept having to stop so Draco could rest. So by the time they got there, Remus was sitting on the porch. The moment he seen Draco his worried look was worst, but for another reason. He hurried to the two boys and grabbed their book backs. "Thanks, Moony." Harry said, helping Draco into the house and into the living room. Harry got his leg set up on the coffee table and nuzzled in a blanket. Draco wasn't at all cold, but Harry was very worried and caring. So Draco smiled lightly at the boy who soon carried a trey in of finger foods. "Moony thought you might want a snack." Harry said, sitting the trey beside Draco on the couch. "Join me." Draco said.
The next couple of hours past by rather quickly. Draco still had to help Harry with the school work, but smiled. Harry was happy to he taught by Draco who was slowly eating the carrots and Apple pieces between homework and talking. "Here." Draco said, holding out a carrot with a bit of ranch dip on it. "I'm really not-" Harry started. "Take a bite." Draco said. Harry seen the light blush on Draco's cheeks and Slowly took a bite of the carrot. Draco smiled and throughout the remainder of the last hour, feed Harry a small handful of Carrots with a bite of ranch. "Harry come here for a moment." Remus said and Harry walked into the kitchen where Remus and Sirius both stood. "What happened?" Sirius asked. "He won't really admitted to anything...But kind of did." Harry said. "Who did you call?" Remus asked. "The social worker. She can get that paperwork, can't she?" Harry said. "Yes, and she will. However, you really should have told me before you made the call." Remus said. "I had to! I didn't want to give him the option to go back home." Harry fussed.
