The car ride was quiet. Harry was getting lost in his own thoughts and Lily was actually enjoying the view of the drive. She enjoyed the scenery. There wasn't much to see outside in the yard at the facility, the same thing for a few years. She finally spoke up. Recognizing the area. "Is...That pound still there?" She asked. "Yeah, We can stop." Siruis said.
She eased down by the water and Harry sat down on the swing set. Siruis knew Harry's mind was elsewhere and joined him on the second swing. "Talk to me." Sirius said. "I'm sure you know what I'm thinking, Sirius. You seem to always know." Harry whispered, feeling the grip on his shoulder for a moment. "I can only guess, son. I know you have a lot of self hate, but there isn't anything wrong with you. I know you think you aren't worth it, but you are." Siruis said and after a pause. "I'm just some stupid kid, Pads. I'm not even where I should be in school." Harry said. "Because of your uncle, Harry. You are getting there, that's what matters. We all love you and Draco loves you, as a partner." Siruis said and Harry let out a sigh. "I'm sure he feels like he has to, because I saved him. I'm sure if given the opportunity, he would leave me for somebody better." Harry said. "That isn't true, I'm certain of that." Siruis said. "What's...the significance of this park?" Harry asked and he smiled lightly. "Your parents came here very often. Sometimes real late they would come and swim in the pond. They didn't care if it was illegal, they were young." Siruis smiled before his phone went off.
Siruis step away and started to walk down the walking trail as he was on the phone. Leaving Harry watching his mom be close to the water. Harry let out a sigh and slowly got off the swing and walked over to her. She seen the reflection in the glass. "I'm...sorry." She said softly and Harry eased down beside her. "I'm not school smart, but I understand other things. I get...it...mostly why you didn't come home. At least...maybe at first. I still worried about once you got a little better, but maybe...your aren't better in your head, just...stable with help." Harry said and she nodded lightly. "The medicine and therapy have helped. I...thought about it, a few times...But I wasn't ready...I'm not sure I'm ready, now...But I don't think I can run anymore." She said. "I...don't want you to run...I rather you around...even if you can't be my mom...I love you...and you'll always be my mom, but...I have my parents." Harry said, to find himself getting held onto. He nuzzled to her neck. "I love you too, Harry." She said, before the gun shot went off.
The two hurried to the sound of the gunshot, even if it wasn't the brightest idea. Siruis was on his feet, but blood ran down his arm and the shooter was was long. "Pads!" Harry half cried. "Siruis." Lily said. "It's a graze." Siruis said. "Doctor, now." Harry fussed, grabbing his other arm and pulling him.
It was just a graze, but Siruis had to make a statement to the police about what happened to him. He wasn't very happy about that idea. He felt he could handle it, but when Remus finally got down to the hospital, he wasn't happy to see his husband in the hospital. Even if he was fine but a few stitches. It could of went so much more differently then it did. They were all thankful for that, but Remus fussed until Sirius agreed to talk to the police about who was the shooter.
Remus finally got his long hug and she could feel the small bump that was finally forming. Remus was tweleve weeks long now. She smiled lightly and he nodded. Welcoming the hand on his stomach for a moment as siruis laid resting still in the hospital bed. "I've...missed you." Remus said, before getting another big hug. "I missed you too, I really did." Lily said softly.
They let siruis go home a couple hours later, non driving as they gave him a pain killer and they couldn't legally let him go by himself with the effects of the pain killer in his system. So, he was half asleep by the time Remus pulled into the drive way. "Harry, find Parker would you?" Remus said. "Okay."Parker was able to carry the man inside the house and ease him to lay on the couch to where Remus tucked him into bed, on the couch. "Are...you sure he's okay?" Draco asked a little shyly. He grown used to his new almost fathers. "Yeah. The pain killer is just making him drowsy. Why don't you and Harry camp out here tonight? Harry's worried too." Remus said and after a pause Draco nodded. He liked that idea.
Siruis yawned waking up, but really couldn't move. Remus was nuzzled to his side on the couch. Remus woke up to a kiss on his neck. "Pads?" He whispered. "Roll over." Siruis said. "The boys are-" Remus started, getting cut off with a kiss. "Then bite your tongue. Roll over." Siruis said. "Yes, Daddy." Remus said.Remus started some coffee once they finished and Siruis stood over the boys. They were sleep on the air bed. "Who's idea was a camp out?" Siruis asked softly, to not wake the boys. "They were worried, even Draco. I could tell." Remus said, coming over and placing a kiss on his cheek. The coffee brewing. It would be ready soon. "You sure?" Siruis asked. "I'm sure, pads. Draco...cares he's just afraid. He isn't used to it is all. Harry's mind also isn't where it should be." Remus said softly. "I know. I'm going to talk to Lily about that, soon."
