Chapter 9

Veronica POV:

I walk into school Monday morning on my phone. I accidentally bumped into someone and all of their stuff fell down. "Oh I'm sorry. I wasn't paying attention." I said while bending down to help her pick up her stuff. "It's ok" she replied with a smile.

"My name is Veronica by the way." I told her. "My name is Jayda." she said smiling. I stood up and handed her the books. "Do you know where Mr. Smith class is?" she asked. "Oh it's the last door on the left. Is this your free period or Chemistry is your class now?" I asked. "This is my free period" she said.

"Oh well I can take you. That's my next class. I can also introduce you to my friends." I told her and she nodded. "Ok they should be in the student lounge." I told her.

"How has your first day been going?" I asked walking towards the lounge. "It's been alright so far. I haven't made friends yet, but I just got here. Some people moved down here before me from my old school." she answered. "Well, you have made your first friend already" I said while smiling.

We walk into the lounge and I was about to introduce everybody until she yelled. "CHRIS! Oh my God I have miss you." she said running towards him. " I miss you too Jayda." he said while hugging her. I'm very confused.

Chris was about to say something until Evelyn spoke. "Hahaha you know you can't keep a man.First I took Archie, then she took Chris" she said.

"I would say that's you who can't keep one but all the boys you fuck never claim you. Archie was begging to get back together with me when I came back so you might want to check that. If I wanted Archie, he would be my boyfriend but I don't want him and DO NOT compare Archie and Chris again unless you want me to beat your ass again." I replied while walking towards her but Chris grabbed me by my waist.

"Don't pay her attention Ronnie." he said to me and then turned to Jayda. "Ronnie this is my favorite cousin Jayda and Jayda this is my girlfriend Veronica." he told her. " I already met her in the hallway Chris." Jayda said laughing. "How long have y'all been dating?" she asked. "About a month." I replied smiling. " A MONTH?" she yelled.

"His cousin doesn't even support it." Evelyn said laughing. "Bitch shut up, I was not saying it that way." Jayda replied. " You're my new best friend" I said laughing. She nodded at me and smiled.

"I'm mad at you Chris. You've had a girlfriend for a month and this is my first time hearing about it. This is your longest relationship you have ever had and I found out about it this way. I should beat yo ass." she said shaking her head. "I'm sorry" he said smiling.

The bell rung and I walked over to Chris. "Walk me to class?" I asked and he nodded while throwing his arm around me. "Jayda you ready?" I asked her. "Yeah let me grab my stuff real quick."she said. We began walking down the hall.

" Jayda do you want to go to the mall and then to eat after school?" I asked her. "Yes I want to go check it out." she said. "I want to go baby." Chris said. "I'll invite some of my friends and you can invite yours then?" he nodded. "Hold on Ronnie" he said once we made it to the classroom.

"Thank you for being nice to my cousin." he told me. "Oh of course but we became friends before I found out she was your cousin. I don't want her to think that I'm only doing it because of you." I told him.

"She doesn't but I just wanted to thank you." He said leaning down to kiss me. I love you he told me and I told him that I love him too. I walk in class and sat down in my seat. Jayda happen to be seated beside me.

At lunch

Jayda and I grabbed our lunch and walked towards to the table. "Hey guys, this is Jayda. Jayda this is Cheryl, Toni, Kevin, Josie, Reggie, Jughead, Archie, and Betty." I introduce them.
