The funeral service had ended a while ago. Only Virgil, Patton, and Logan remained at the new headstone.
"I'm gonna miss Daddy." Patton sniffed, his lip trembling.
"I know Patt, I'm gonna miss him too." Virgil hugged his son tightly.
"Papa?" Logan asked, pointing to the grave next to Roman's, "Why did Remus get a different grave?"
Virgil gave him a soft smile, "well, Dad had a brother named Remus."
"Really?" Patton gasped.
Virgil nodded, "they were twins, just like you two."
"What happened to Uncle Remus?" Logan looked up at his dad with curiosity in his eyes.
"He died when they were kids." Virgil told them.
"Dad didn't tell us he had a brother." Patton said.
"Well... Dad didn't have a very good childhood, and Remus died because of that. He probably didn't want to remember that." Virgil said.
Patton nodded, hugging his brother, "I wouldn't want to talk about it if LoLo died."
Logan nodded furiously in agreement.
Virgil laughed at the two, "okay okay. It's starting to get late, we should go home now."
"Okay." Patton sighed.
"Yes Papa." Logan nodded.
The twins started off to the car, but Virgil hesitated for a moment.
"Goodbye Roman." He whispered, placing a hand on the headstone, "I love you."
"I-I'll miss you Rem..." Emile cried.
Anx hugged themself tighter in the Innerworld, trying to silence their sobs.
"It's... It's going to be okay..." Thomas whispered.
Virgil sighed and turned away from the grave. He had to move forward now. So, he did what Roman always told him to do.
Put on a smile and keep going.
