'My babies!' A woman's voice sang and I looked up to see a magnificently dressed, beautiful woman descend the staircase, she had a stunning dress on and her light brown hair fell around her face and shoulders in loose curls. Her eyes were large and beautiful like a doe and I couldn't help but smile because I knew those eyes, they were the same as Tyler's. The woman kissed Theo on the cheek before moving to Titus and holding him tightly.
'Mama, it is so good to see you.' Titus said and I don't think I've ever heard him sound so happy. Titus always had a frown, more often than not even a scowl plastered on his face, occasionally Tate would say something that would lighten his mood but not for too long.
'My baby, how are you? You look strong.' She said pulling back and squeezing his arms before cupping his face with both hands and looking at him with such a loving motherly look that a little bit of jealousy rose in me, my mother was... no my mother is never like this with me.
'Yes mama, Tate has been looking after me.' Titus smiled and his mum kissed his cheek before moving over to Tate.
'My beautiful boy.' She smiled hugging Tate tightly.
'Mama, I love your dress, you look so beautiful.' Tate smiled with his eyes closed, they looked so happy and I felt a little guilty, would they have been back here with their family if Tyler hadn't staid in America with me?
'Thank you my love but you know that this is the dress you helped me buy.' Tate grinned.
'Obviously, but you still look amazing.' She looked at him with the same look she gave Titus before turning and looking at Tyler and I.
'Tyler, sweetheart, how are you?' She said moving in and hugging him. He refused to let go of my hand again and I felt nervous, what if she was like Theo? Was she going to like me? What if none of his family like me? Was it going to be like my family again? Was I going to be shut out?
'I am well, thankyou.' Tyler was so cold towards his family, maybe just because he was nervous or unsure around them.
'I haven't seen you in so long sweetheart, we'll have to have breakfast together, just the two of us.' Tyler flinched and stepped back from her, still keeping the vice grip on my hand.
'You must be Zach, I've heard a lot about you from Tate and Titus. It's wonderful to finally meet you.'
'Thank you, sorry for intruding, it's really nice to meet you.' I smiled my most polite smile and she grinned.
'You and I have to have a chat later.' She winked and it was my turn to flinch, Tyler pulling me closer and away from his mother.
'He is mine.' Tyler said firmly and his mum looked at him shocked for a moment before smiling.
'I know sweetheart, I'm not trying to take him away from you.' She said putting her slender hand on his shoulder.
'What's all this ruckus?' A man with a deep voice yelled and we all looked up to see a smiling man, taller than Theo and Tyler but looked so much like Titus that it was uncanny.
'Papa!' Tate yelled happily and made his way over first.
'My boy.' This man smiled hugging Tate tightly before moving back. 'It's good to have you home.' He smiled and then moved to Titus who looked nervous and couldn't maintain eye contact with the man. 'Titus my son, you're looking well.' He smiled and pulled Titus to his chest and hugged him. Titus was slow to react but soon he hugged the larger man back. I wonder what the story is there... No, no, don't be a nosey bastard.
'Ah and Tyler, I'm glad you've finally come home, we have much to talk about.' The man said stepping forward but Tyler grit his teeth, stance changing to one I knew was familiar of attack, I'd seen him hunt an animal once, when he got really pissed off with Titus.
