The so very formal text was killing Rae because this is how she never texted anyone. She didn't even text her arcade manager this formally when she was working there.
The chat messages brought her back to reality. She apologized and glanced at the picture Corpse had uploaded.

The picture was so beautiful.
Rae and Sykkuno were in between, because they were the infernal twins. Corpse was on Sykkuno's side and Toast on Rae's. The picture showed no one's faces (except Rae's) though because it was meant to be faceless.
So the picture featured only them standing upto their necks. However Rae wasn't as tall as Corpse or Sykkuno who didn't have to stand on their toes like Toast, to get a proper faceless picture so she tilted her head and smiled at the camera. Toast was on his toes, and his chin was visible in the picture while Sykkuno and Corpse were faceless, the former showing a peace sign, and the latter casually dropping his hand in his jeans. Toast had folded his arms, chin higher and Rae had wrapped her arms with Sykkuno's, the only happy visible face in the picture.
