James and Rae both glanced at the caller id, where Rae tensed up, James stiffened. Rae looked up at James, his face lost of all expressions and his gaze averted from her. She could feel how much he longed for his brother, and seeing Sykkuno call her than him was probably the worst.

It didn't take another second for James to leave, and Rae could take a deep breath. She stifled her hand through her hair and answered the call, hoping everything was alright.

'Hello?'

What she expected was a soft voice greeting her, but this was like a chaotic conversation. She could hear Toast's rants, Sykkuno's nervous chuckle and Corpse's deep voice, all of them talking all at once. Listening to them made her feel so much better, already.

The worries, the confusion, any sort of turmoil just vanished now that she heard the pleasant voices of her boys.

'Guys?' She interrupted the no sense conversation, which was basically Toast ranting at Sykkuno with Corpse's chuckles in the background. 'Hello to you too.'

'Rae...'

'Hi Rae.'

'Hello Rachel.'

Rae smiled, their tone was particularly a little stern and she knew why.

'Hey. So what's up?' She asked, playing with the potted plant placed on the kitchen balcony.

'When are you streaming again, Rae?' Corpse asked, almost immediately. 'We miss you.'

'I do too.' Sykkuno added, cheerfully. 'Ranked Valo doesn't feel competitive enough without you.'

'I just need you for clout.' Toast casually added, clearly lying because they were all individually well established.

Corpse let out a dramatic gasp with a 'How dare you', Sykkuno holding his laughter back with a 'Get him Rae,' and Rae only laughed, shaking her head.

'Oh my goodness, you guys always give me a headache, I swear.' She sighed, holding her cell by her shoulder as she tip toed to get a bottle of Nutella. 'And to answer all your questions, soon Corpse, because I miss you more, Sykkuno, I don't play with IronKkuno, you know I'm silver and Toast, the audacity!'

The conversation soon eased into everything and anything, teasing and having fun, and Rae took hold of the Nutella jar, opening it and smelling it. She dipped the spoon and licked it, enjoying the banter from her homies.

The four of them were so different from each other, each had their own set of insecurities and worries, each with their own weakness and yet when they were all together, they were perfectly synched.

Rae's heart soared knowing how much these three meant to her now.

'Oh my goodness, can we just stick to the main reason?' Corpse said, drowning everyone else's voices. 'Sykkuno has something huge for all of us to say.'

Rae stopped eating mid-way, 'Sykkuno has some news?' She cheered excitedly, 'Wait, what?'

'Um... uh... it's not that... that big.' Sykkuno chuckled, nervously again and Rae rolled her eyes.

'It is, Rae.' Toast vouched for him. 'It's a very big deal.'

'Of course it is. Sykkuno never considers himself as important.' Rae seconded that, 'Tell us!'

'Wait a minute...' Corpse interrupted Sykkuno, 'How does Toast know?'

'Um...'

'That's because I mean a lot more than you two.' Toast said, a hint of pride in his tone.
