Jake POV

It's been almost a year since Y/N and I have been in this relationship and our relationship grows stronger and stronger every single day. it makes me more sure to take this relationship to the next step which is more serious. I'm planning to propose to Y/N the day after tomorrow on our first anniversary. Actually, I've bought a simple yet elegant diamond ring for Y/n, I hope she will like it and ofc I hope she will say yes. 

 I can't wait for the day, I just need to act normal so she won't suspicious of me. Currently, Y/N isn't at home, she went out with my mom, so, I'm all alone at home, I can go somewhere to prepare everything I need.

Y/N POV

Today Jake's mom called me to go to her house, she said she wants me to help her with the grocery shopping because I don't have anything to do, I agreed with her. Now I'm with her in the market.

Mrs. Sim: Y/N, are you busy today?

Y/N: No, why aunty?

Mrs. Sim: Ah... I'll have lunch with my friends, do you mind going with me?

Y/N: Not at all, if my presence doesn't bother your friends.

Mrs. Sim: Ofc not, dear. Actually, I really want to introduce you to my friends.

Y/N: Why??

Mrs. Sim: Because all of them had introduced their future son or daughter in law. So, I think it's the right time for me to introduce you. Are you okay with it?

Y/N: Sure.

Time Skip at the restaurant

Here I'm, in the middle of the middle age moms. I don't know what should I do, I don't even know them. I just sit beside Mrs. Sim and do nothing. The situation is too awkward for me, I'm not a social butterfly so I need to take some time to adapt to this kind of situation. But I think Mrs. Sim realizes I'm not too comfortable, so she asks me.

Mrs. Sim: Are you alright?

Y/N: Yes aunty, just a little bit uncomfortable, I guess I need some time to adapt.

Mrs. Sim just nodded. After a few minutes, her friends start to bombardier me with a lot of questions and compliments, such as, who are you? Why you're so pretty? Are you Mrs. Sim's niece? And many more. I just answered them with a smile, I don't what to do, please send me help, I can't bear it anymore with this awkward situation. Luckily Mrs. Sim looks at my uncomfortable face so she answers all the questions.

Mrs. Sim: She's a little bit shy, give her some time to adapt with us.

Friend 1: Btw, who is she?

Friend 2: yeah, she's really pretty.

Friend 3: Is she your niece?? Is she taken?? If not can I introduce her to my son?

Mrs. Sim: Can you ask me one by one? Let me answer all the questions, Her name is Y/N. She's not my niece but my future daughter in law and yes I have to admit she's really pretty.

Friend 1: So, she's Jake's fiancé?

Mrs. Sim: Not yet, but I hope he will propose soon. I really love Y/N.

Friend 2: Jake has extra works to do (chuckled) and he has to put more attention to her otherwise, other men would seduce her.

Mrs. Sim: I shouldn't worry about that because she's very loyal to Jake.

Friend 3: Btw, where did Jake meet her? Maybe I can tell my son to go there so he can meet his soulmate.

Mrs. Sim: (Laugh) what kind of joke was that? They were childhood friends, Jake had been looking for her for ancient before he finally met her again.

Friend 1: Ah... so that's the reason why Jake was always single and cold towards any girls?

Mrs. Sim: I guess so... but he hadn't fallen in love before, he always said he wanted to wait for his childhood crush to come back and I guess the universe heard his wish and united them together.
