A/N: Hey guys I bamboozled myself so the 10 month age difference between Lyra and Draco and her birthday being in October does not work so um just pretend Draco was born in December or something  👩🏾‍🦯👩🏾‍🦯

"Rise and shine Birthday Girl!"

Lyra felt her twin mattress groan in protest as both Kaia and Astor pounced onto her bed.

"It's party time!" Kaia shouted right into her ear.

"Mhm, we still have a whole day of class." Lyra mumbled, pushing Kaia's face from her head. "And it's not a party, it'll just be a little get together."

"Have you met Pansy and Daphne?" Astor scoffed. "Little to get together my arse."

Since Lyra was turning seventeen and would finally be of age, Pansy and Daphne had insisted on throwing Lyra a birthday bash. She typically didn't make a big deal out of her birthday but the girls had practically begged so she decided to just go with the flow.

The girls hadn't included Lyra in their party planning but Astor had claimed he heard whispers of a smoke machine and strobe lights. Highly unnecessary in Lyra's opinion.

"Aw, my baby sister is all grown up now!" Draco shouted loudly as Lyra sat down for breakfast.

"We're the same age again." Lyra grinned. The Malfoy siblings used to make a huge deal of the two months their ages overlapped, telling anyone who would listen that they were twins.

"So Lyra," Theo plopped down next to her and snaked an arm around her shoulders, "now that you're legal..."

"Theo, I really don't feel like beating the shit out of you today." Draco glared across the table.

Theo lifted his arm off Lyra and held his arms up in surrender but threw her a small wink and crooked smile.

Lyra felt her cheeks grow warm despite having zero feelings for Theo.

Soon the great hall started to fill with more students and the tables filled with food, A few Slytherins wished Lyra a happy birthday as they passed. She grinned back thank yous but found slightly distracted as she looked around for Blaise.

As breakfast went on there was still no sign of him. Lyra noticed the empty space next to Vaisey, Harper wasn't in the great hall either.

Self-consciously her hand grazed her neck, trailing over the hickeys she had concealed with a charm that morning. She wondered if Blaise had told Draco about last night, if he did Lyra would have to worry about Harper laying in dead in a ditch somewhere.

"Are you excited for the party?" Daphne gushed, interrupting her thoughts.

"What are you wearing?" Pansy interjected before Lyra could respond.

"Can I do your makeup?"

"And what are you doing with your hair?"

"Shoes?"

"Uh-" Lyra's mouth dropped slightly as her brain tried to keep up with the question assault.

"We'll come to your dorm at nine." Pansy said decidedly.

"Make sure you don't make her look like a slag." Draco sneered.

Pansy rolled her eyes at him and exchanged a sly look with Daphne.

"Who's even going to this thing?" Theo asked through a mouthful of toast.

"Just a few people." Daphne replied.
