Richie*

"Rich, babe, you can relax," Eddie spoke up to me.

"What?" I glanced over as he sat in the passenger seat. I realized I was gripping the steering wheel. "Oh."

I heard the others in the back, laughing and chattering.

I wish I could feel like that, happy. I just feel like I'm not in reality. What if I'm still not awake? All that seems to run through my head is: 'what if', 'what if', 'what if'.

We packed our things, threw them in my rv and left. We aren't wasting anymore time. We aren't going to get Mike or even warn him. If he wants to act childish over who dates who, that's his ass on the line.

Ben gave me the directions to get to our destination. It isn't too much longer till we reach it.

"Richard," Eddie's voice was rather flirtatious.

I hate when he calls me that.

"Edward," I smirked over at him.

"You missed your turn," he pointed out, smiling softly. "I can drive if you want." He offered. He's only worried for me.

I sighed. "Actually, I thought we could stop at a motel for the night, hmm? I just really need rest right now."

He smiled, nodding. "That sounds good," he looked away, staring out the window. "Just think, Rich. You and I are going to get jobs to save up and then go travel. If that isn't the dream, I don't know what is." He sighed dreamily.

I smiled to myself. That does sound like the dream.

"So," he leaned in the seat, looking at me. He looked so warm and soft. His hair looked fluffy today, his cheeks were sun kissed. He looked heavenly. "When we go to the motel?" He trailed off.

"Yes?" I spared him another glance.

"Can we get our own room?" He whispered.

I shrugged. "I'd imagine. They only have like a single bed in each, right? Eh, I don't actually know. Maybe they have two?"

He just stared at me.

"What?"

He chuckled fondly. "Chee," he whispered. "I wanted to spend some alone time with my boyfriend," he twirled his finger around on the chair arm. "Some quality time."

I blushed. "Oh," I muttered. I pulled to a stoplight. I looked at him. "Are you sure?" I muttered to him, feeling the back of my neck heat up. "We've never done anything like that before."

"If I do recall correctly, you did-," he went to list something out.

"Okay! Okay!" I put my hand against his mouth, not wanting the others to hear. "We can get our own room. Alright?"

He smiled happily. "Awesome."

Ha! This guy.

...

I feel like an idiot. Yeah, I'm not the... most intelligent person in a crowd, but I'm not dumb. But... I can't remember.. where exactly my memories stop. Er, start? Being stuck in my mind like that for what felt like days was insane, and.. I just can't figure out what was said and what wasn't.

I sat nervously on the old motel bed, listening to Eddie from in the bathroom. I'm listening to him, but at the same time, I can't hear him. I'm just... nothing. I'm empty headed.

"You weren't listening were you?" Eddie leaned on the door frame of the bathroom, giving me a look. He was in one of my shirts and my boxers.

I sighed, looking down. "No, Eds, I wasn't. I'm sorry."
