I was staring out the window as we drove down the road, the trees cascading over the the street, the moonlight shining through the leaves. "The stars are nice, hm?" Richie spoke.

"Yeah," I yawned a little, stretching around. "They are." I smiled and looked over at him.

He smiled, glancing to me, putting his hand on my thigh. "You okay? You look a little lost in thought there, Eds." He chuckled.

I shrugged, snuggling closer to him. "It's nothing," I sighed.

"Hmmm, you sure? I know how you get quiet and shit, just tell me what's going on inside that big brain, Mr. Kaspbrak." He tried to joke around, pulling out a British accent.

I couldn't help but to smile and laugh. He knows me. The guy knows me. I sat up, facing him. "I've got this weird feeling, deep down in the pit of my gut."

"Bout what?" He asked curiously.

"Mike. I think Pennywise did something. Henry was talking to me about him, and how he explained it made me uneasy. Richie, I may be wrong, but I think it did something to Mike." I explained.

I saw the change in his stance. He became tense, putting both hands properly on the wheel and sat up. "And you want to go back?" He said.

I sighed. "No? I-maybe? I don't think I do, and I think that's what's eating me alive. Richie, what if he dies?" I whimpered.

He sighed, becoming irritated. He leaned against the window, slowing the truck down. He came to a stop on the side of the road.

"What are you doing? Are you mad?" I rambled out as he unbuckled, opening the door. I followed suit. "What are you doing? Are you mad at me or not?" I followed him around the side of the truck to the back. "Richie, I'm talking to y-," I went to complain more.

"Eddie, I need you to shut the fuck up." He said, gripping the side of the truck.

The others stared at us in confusion, and probably concern, them grabbing their flashlights.

Richie stared at me too, an expression of annoyance rather than anger. I get it. I ramble a lot and don't shut up.

I held my hands up in surrender. "Okay."

He looked to them. "Eddie has a theory of why Mike left us." He started, leaning against the truck. I sighed, resting my chin on it.

"Really?" Bev sat up, staring at me with wide eyes. "What is it? What do you think happened?" She asked.

I stood back up straight, leaning on the truck with my arms crossed. "P-Pennywise. I feel like he's done something to Mike. I've got this gut wrenching feeling about it." I said truthfully.

They all looked to each other. "Wuh-What makes you so sure, Eddie?" Bill looked at me.

I chuckled. "I had a fucking conversation with Henry Bowers about how Mike scared him. The only thing Henry Bower is scared of is his dad," I said loudly. "He even apologized for everything because he knew we were leaving, explained what Mike was doing, gave me a heads up."

"You want to go back, don't you?" Stanley spoke up.

"That's what I said!" Richie chuckled.

"It's the humane thing to do!" I yelled at him. "What if Mike dies? How the fuck do I live with that over my head all my life? Knowing I could've at least tried to help him!" I scowled at Richie.

Richie looked off, not seeming to care, scratching the back of his neck.

I looked at all of them. "Mike was our best friend for the longest time, he was good to us, helped us the first time with pennywise. Just because he has a small problem with who we date we should throw all of that aside?" I scoffed.

"Eddie! Snap out of it!" Richie exclaimed. "If we go back, one of us will die! We're in a safe area, all about to graduate and leave!" He grabbed my face and made me look at him. "Eddie, I want to leave with you. If you die, it's kill me. I'd probably become depressed, crazy, and more likely suicidal. Eddie, please. For once, think about us." He pleaded and begged me to change my mind. He wrapped me in a tight hug, burrowing his face into my neck.

I sighed holding him. I looked to the others for help, because I have no idea of what to say.

"Richie, it-it'll be okay. If we do go back, we'll all have each other, an-and we wouldn't let anything happen to Eddie." Bill said, trying to calm the crying Richie on my shoulder.

Richie sighed, catching his breath. He pulled back and looked me in the eyes, hands still on my waist. "Promise you won't leave my side, if we do go back?" He said.

"I promise," I said, feeling in shock. I didn't know how much I actually meant to him. "I promise, Richie." I hugged him again, arms tight around his neck as he squeezed my waist. "I'll never leave your side, Rich, I swear."

I looked at the others. They all seemed sad, and sympathetic. I know how they'd be if they lost each other, so I know they're understanding of all of this.

I rubbed Richie's back. "C'mon, Chee, lets go." I kissed his head.

He pulled away, nodding. "Okay," he kissed my head. "But, if we do this, we're gonna need a plan."
