Chapter 5 - An unexpected answer

"Who confessed first?"

As Todoroki waited for either the future Shoto or Momo to answer the question he slowly began to realize what he just asked and his slight blush could no longer be hidden.

But unknowingly to the future couple and the young Todoroki, they didn't notice that the young yaoyorozu and her friends were also listening in

"Hmm... I wonder who?" replied the older Momo while she smirked at her fiancée which made the older Todoroki blush slightly

It was at that moment that the older Yaoyorozu saw her younger self and their friends listening in so she gave her younger self a smile decided to have a bit of fun

"Then let me ask you this Todoroki-kun" said the older Yaoyorozu in a playful tone to the younger Shoto

"As of now, do you have any feelings towards me? By me I mean my younger self" she added while shooting a quick, playful peek towards her younger self and her friends

"I-I'm not sure" stuttered the young Todoroki as he was getting tongue tied from his emotions as well the embarrassment from being asked that kind of question. Especially since he was not really good with dealing with his emotions.

But there was one thing in his next reply that caught the everyone off guard

"I'm not sure if I have feelings towards you right now..."

"But when you both announced in front of everyone that you were getting engaged to each other I felt... Happy. I'm glad that it was you that I ended up with in the future" said the young Todoroki as he started blushing like crazy

The older Yaoyorozu felt a bit surprised by his answer but quickly regained composure.

On the other hand, her younger self was as red as a tomato and her friends beside her were also blushing slightly from the young Todoroki's words

"I didn't know you were so honest about your emotions dear" said the older Yaoyorozu to the older Shoto while her fiancée just replied

"Neither did I. I guess I never noticed it before" as he smiled at his younger self

At that moment, the older Yaoyorozu was done playing and gave a piece of advice to the younger Shoto

"I'll be honest here... I can't tell you who confessed first. Because that will just ruin the moment" She said with a wink

Then she came closer and whispered to the young Todoroki a piece of advice that would help him in conveying his feelings. Should he choose to confess his feelings.

"What you just said makes it pretty obvious you're feeling something towards my younger self..." she whispered with a smirk

"But the thing is... A girl will never know how you feel unless you tell her directly. Even if you make it obvious with your actions and she knows how you feel, if you don't tell her directly, she will think there is no meaning behind it" added the older Yaoyorozu with a smile then slowly backed away.

"B-but even so, even if I don't say it... you would know through my actions" the young Todoroki said in a quiet voice

"It's not like that when it comes to emotions, especially in a relationship. That's why men and women are complicated." Said the older yaoyorozu

"Right dear?" she added then turning to the older Shoto

"I'll have to agree with you on that one." Said the older Todoroki

"What do you mean by that?" asked his younger self

"Let's just say that we found that out the hard way and we lost so much time" was the reply that let the young Todoroki realize his feelings, as well as what his next move was going to have to be.

"Thank you. I now know what my next move is" said the young Todoroki to the couple

"Well whatever your 'next move' is... Goodluck with it" replied the older Yaoyorozu with a grin then she and her fiancée separated from the young Todoroki who was left to ponder on his thoughts for a while.

It was soon evening, and at that time the younger Yaoyorozu and her friends have already left and went back to her room to discuss what just happened

"See! I told you he felt something towards you Yaomomo!" exclaimed Uraraka with a cheer

"All that's left is to confess and get this over with" added Ashido while giving a thumbs up

"W-w-what? Right now?" was all Yaoyorozu could reply

"Yes. I agree now is the best time" said Jirou, encouraging her friend

Just as they were still discussing on what to do, someone knocked on Yaoyorozu's door

"W-who is it?" Said Yaoyorozu behind the door

Then everyone in Yaomomo's room went silent when they heard who it was

"It's me Todoroki. Can I speak to you for a bit Yaoyorozu?"
