The air was crisp, the sound of crunching leaves filling the silent space. Going by in a blur past remnants of scarlet and amber, was the ginger. His breathing was heavy as he ran down the sidewalk.

He wore a light adidas jacket, black with white trimmings and simple track shorts. He had his phone in his pocket, a wire plugged into it, transferring music to the headphones on Hinata's head.

This is what he considered a warm up during the few days before the beginnings of the Spring Tournament preliminaries. Stretch for a good twenty minutes, trying to loosen his muscles as best he could, then going on an easy five mile run, followed by more stretching.

"Ahhh," he sighed, exasperated. "I am not looking forward to practice this afternoon!"

He closed his eyes and huffed, just going onto auto pilot for a bit. The route he had take was one he was familiar with. Being a favorite for him, Tendō, and Ushijima to take into town. Shōyō smiled at the thought. Heh, they can change my mood in a nanosecond.

Hinata harshly bumped into something, opening his eyes at the impact as he stumbled back, headphones sliding to sit around his neck. He managed to regain his stance and bowed in apology. "I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going!"

There was a moment of silence before he was given a response. One with a voice he despised nowadays. "Hinata?"

Shōyō shot back up onto a stiff stance, eyes narrowing as his voice adopted a colder tone. "Daichi-san."

"Hey... You can call me senpai, you know that, right?" the tall male said, shuffling nervously.

"And why should I address you with a sense of familiarity?" Shōyō inquired, rasing a brow.

Daichi winced. "I'm sorry..." he murmured.

Shōyō gave a short bark of laughter. "HAH!" he responds loudly. "Sure. And I go to Karasuno."

"Everyone misses you, y'know!"

Shōyō looked behind Daichi to see an approaching Tanaka Ryūnosuke. The male approached with his sharp-toothed grin. Behind him was the rest of the Karasuno team, aside from the manager.

"BULLSHIT!" the ginger sneered. His gaze hardened into an icy glare. The team gather d around Daichi in shock, surprised by Hinata's expression and use of words.

"Shrimp?" Tsukishima asked warily.

"What?" Hinata asked sharply. "Spit it out ya salty bastard."

Tsukishima visibly bristled at the lazy insult. "What happened to you?"

Shōyō raised an eyebrow as he looked everyone of them dead on the eye. "You did."

The secret side of me, I never let you see

"What do you mean 'us'?" Kageyama asked, growing more uncomfortable with the situation with each passing moment.

I keep it caged but I can't control it

"You really are stupid king," Shōyō deadpanned, yet silently revelling at the angry expression the raven was trying desperately to keep of his features.

So stay away from me, the beast is ugly

"What do you mean Boke?" Kageyama tried again.
