It was two weeks later. Hinata was sitting in the rooftop. He was skipping classes again. He didn't want to deal with the scrutinizing glares right then. Not like it would affect his grades anyways.
He sighed and stopped tapping his pencil against the side of his pre-calculus work. He was thankful to Satori-senpai and Ushijima-senpai for helping him with this infuriatingly simple jargon. It confused the bell out of him at first, but after some guidance he felt like banging his head on wall for three hours straight.
So it was a simple as doing basic calculations in his mind, but doing scratch work for more complicated parts of the equations. It was caring for him. It laid any worries of his to rest for a short while. He didn't have to worry about the stupidly false rumors circulating the school, nor his mother asking questions about his grades, schoolwork, or studying sessions.
He was in his own little world for a small while. That time one of the few where he didn't feel dread of being anywhere he wasn't comfortable. The short span of time where he felt he could smile or show his stereotypical chipper attitude.
Shōyō looked up towards the sky, squinting his eyes from the rays of the sun. It was afternoon, school was going to be letting out soon. The afternoon soon turned out to be his favorite time of day.
"I kinda should talk to mom about it..." he muttered to himself.
"Talk to mommy about what?" someone sneered.
Hinata whipped his head around to come face to face with several of his old teammates. He grew slightly terrified, he didn't know what to expect from the three who were towering over him. He gulped in fear, trying to stay calm. "Do... Do you need something?" he asked.
He was answered with a punch to the face, blood soon coming rom his nose. Hinata ended up sprawled in the ground, back against the concrete. He let out a whimper of pain. He forced his eyes open to give a weak glare to Tsukishima.
Tsukishima's gaze darkened, a smirk crossing his features. "Trying to scare me off?"
He kicked Hinata in the stomach, cashing the latter to sit up, clutching his lower abdomen. Shōyō hissed. He was knocked to the ground again after feeling a kick to his back. Soon he was picked up and held by the two other people who were with Tsukishima. His vision began to swim as he felt hits from both his left and right.
In an attempt to break free, Hinata lifts up his left leg and kicks Tsukishima in the groin, causing the male to back off hissing in pain. Shōyō managed to yank his left arm free push the male to his left to the ground. He was able to pull his right arm free and punched the last male in the stomach.
Hinata glared and Tsukishima with pure hatred. "I haven't done anything to you. I closed myself off, I quit the team. What else do you need a useless nobody like me to do before you leave me alone?"
The blonde male let out a malevolent chuckle before giving his response. "Me and everyone in this school want you gone you monster!"
Hinata felt his heart sink. He knew it was true. He just didn't want to accept it. "Heh..."
"What's so funny?" he growled.
"A monster?" he glared at Tsukishima with a slightly unhinged, sadistic smile. H had snapped.
