"Get in gear and clean up!"

It was afternoon, slowly turning into evening as Karasuno. Most of the team was tired from all the movement, except Hinata. He was buzzing with excitement, to the point he was vibrating on the spot. He was looking forward to the upcoming practice match with Shiratorizawa. It was an unexpected event, but welcome by the crows nevertheless.

"Hinata," Sugawara's voice came from behind him. The orange haired male turned around to face an ice-cold glare. "Calm down."

Hinata shuddered before giving a nod. "Yes Suga-senpai."

"Sugawara-san," the silver-headed male corrected the younger. With that, he left and began to pick up some of the balls around the gym.

Hinata was very confused as to what happened. What he experienced was very unusual from Sugawara's normal demeanor. "I hope he's ok..." he whispered to himself, worried.

He was shoved out of his stupor as his upperclassman Tanaka bumped into him. There was a slight growl when he spoke. "Just go home. We don't need your help tonight."

"O...Okay...." Hinata responded.

Hinata left the gym, a little upset. He didn't understand his teammates cold behavior towards him. He shook his head, telling himself that it was just because they were tired from practice and studying for upcoming exams. At least he hoped.

Hinata felt his hands start to shake slightly, his breathing pattern began to quicken. He felt the tears pricking the corners of his eyes. "Shitshitshishitshitshitshitshit!" he whispered rapidly to himself.

He pulled some headphones out of his his school bag, plugging the jack into his phone, pressing shuffle on his playlist. One of his favorite songs was first, much to his relief.

Am I the only one I know

He sat down against a nearby wall, closing his eyes and immersing himself in the music, letting painful memories wash over him.

Waging wars behind my face and above my throat

"Again Shōyō?! Why can't you get better grades?!" A lady stood above a small, orange haired boy, furious.

"But mama... I'm trying my hardest!" The little boy said.

"I don't want to hear it. Go to your room and study."

"Ok mama..."

Shadows will scream I'm alone...

Hinata shakily breathed as he remembered his mother yelling at him in elementary school. He opened his eyes and stared at the sky, opening his mouth and whispering along with the lyrics of the song. Each word too relatable.

I-I-I I've got a migraine

A small jumble of papers slammed down in front of Hinata, startling him out of his tired stupor. His newfound attention was greeted with a shrill voice. "Hinata! Wake up! I will have no one sleeping in this class!"

"B-but Miss, I onl-" he stuttered, trying to defend himself.

"Did I say I wanted your excuse?" the teacher asked coldly.

Hinata looked at her, then lowered his head. "No...."

"Detention this afternoon."

Hinata glanced up in terror, tears pooling in the corners of his eyes as he saw his teacher retreating to the front of the class.  He also heard the snickers and laughs of his classmates surrounding him.
