I was not expecting I'll look at him in a way that was more that a friend. Well I guess you never know how much you love someone until you see them with someone else.
It has been months since the whole drama with Brian and we have not talked ever since.
Then I heard that he and her girlfriend broke up.
It must have been hard for him. I bet he was thinking if there was something wrong with him after that break up.
I really wanted to talk to him but I couldn't see myself with him just like before.
Then I met someone along all that drama and we started going out. He was nice and I really did pray for us to work out but he's too good that I don't want him to get hurt just because of me.
So the night when he drove me home, we were at out front yard. I told him that I'm sorry and I only see him as my friend.
He then asks me if he could have one last hug and I said yes. But after that we remained friends and talk casually.
Then days after I bumped into Brian a few more times at school but then I'm still not ready to talked to him though he had some moments where he really wanted to approach me.
That afternoon one of my senior at my department asked me a favor if I can cover for her today on her shift on assisting at the school library and I agreed.
When I was there I was not expecting for Brian to be there studying. I mean he rarely goes to the library.
I was trying not to make eye contact or whatsoever but thanked God he did not stayed there for so long.
When I was about to go home it was raining really hard and I forgot to bring my umbrella.
While I was waiting for the rain to stop Brian suddenly appeared behind my back and opened an umbrella.
"Are you going to join me? I can take you home" he offered
I ignore him
"Fine" he said and took my hand and gave me the umbrella

He looked at me "use it you probably need it more that I do"
Then he ran towards the rain his bag was covering his head
"Yah! Wait!" I yelled but he was running to fast and the rain was pouring hard that he didn't notice me calling

The next day were it was weekend I went with my mom to the grocery store. We then saw Brian's mom there.
So you know the drill when our mom's meet they have to go and talk to each other.
"Anne it's good to see you" Brian's mom greeted me and I gave her a smile
"are you alone?" my mom asked
"yup, Brian would not drive me to the grocery even if how many times i asked him" she said
So I guess Brian really did got his license after all. But I don't see him driving on the way to school.
"plus I just went to the grocery today to buy some ingredients for some soup and also some medicine" she said
"oh is someone sick?" my mom asked
"it's Brian actually. He came home yesterday soaking wet from school. He said he lost the umbrella I gave him" she said
Okay hearing that made me feel a little bit guilty. He was sick because of me
"is he okay though?" I asked
"oh dear yes, he did have a slight of a fever but I think he just need some rest" she said
"oh! that's good to know" I said
"you can go visit him if you want, plus is don't see you two hang out at the house anymore. I can cook for you guys " she offered
"oh? no. I think I'll just let him rest. Maybe next time, Just that we are both busy at school that's why we don't hang out that often anymore" I lied
When we were back at our house, I keep on spacing out that resulted with my mom calling me three times before I noticed her.
"Anne!" my mom called
"yup?" I said coming back to my senses
"can you pass me my glasses" she said
"hmm, sure" I got up from my seat and gave her the glasses
"you know if your that worried about Brian you can go see him" she said
"mom!"
"what? I was just suggesting, you look like you need to talk to him" she said
"Did you two still did not make up with each other?" she asked
"When he was here the last time you were crying in your room after talking to him" she added
"We had a misunderstanding mom and I'm still mad about it" I said
"Okay dear whatever you say but I hope you two can talk it out" she said
I was now lying down at my bed and still thinking about everything that happened.
I know the fact that I'm still mad about what happened. I really want for things to go back the way it was but my heart says otherwise.
