Cold in LA

Chapter 7

"Fine just take it." he hands the camera to Grace and leaves the apartment.

"Thank you so much!" Grace runs and gives us all a big group hug.

"Anytime." I say with a smile.

"If I'm being honest I don't like Mason at all!" Zach jokes. We all laugh and agree.

"So did you get all packed?" Corbyn asks her.

"Yeah I got everything." she answers.

"Well we will help you get everything into the car." Daniel says.

"No it's okay I can get it, plus I'm getting an uber anyways" I answer quickly so they wouldn't take anything down yet.

"Are you planning on staying at a hotel?" Jack asked surprised.

"Yeah I was. Only until I find a new place to live." I answer sounding tired by everything I have to do.

"Grace you can just stay with us until you get back on your feet." Zach smiles as she suggests it.

All the guys smile in agreement.

"I really don't want to be a burden." I protest.

"You won't be, now come on." I say.

"Okay fine!" she yells in excitement.

Then she pulls us into another group hug.

Grace's point of view

The guys got all my bags down to the car.

"So anyone hungry?" Zach asks as we all pile into the guys car.

"I am!" I yell realizing how hungry I am.

"Mcdonalds?" Corbyn suggests.

"Yes! I am dying for some chicken nuggets." Daniel says excitedly.

We all agree and go get some food to eat at the guys house.

"Thank you guys again for letting me stay here until I get my feet back on the ground." I thanked them as we finished eating.

"No problem at all, it's cool having you here!" Jack says as he shoves the last few frys into his mouth.

I smile back at all of them.

There was a couple minutes of silence, not an awkward silence but a peaceful silence like we were all just enjoying the moment we were having.

"I don't think I will be able to sleep anytime soon so you guys wanna watch a movie?" Zach asks.

"Yeah that sounds great, what movie?" Daniel asks.

"Knives out?" Corbyn suggests.

"Yes, I have been wanting to see that!" I smile and go walk over to the couch and sit in the seat closest to the arm rest.

The guys all followed me over and sat down. Jonah took the seat next to me. He looked at me with his big blue eyes. I found myself smiling, I don't know why I was but I was smiling bigger than I have in quite a while.

Jonah's point of view

About half way into the movie I feel Grace lay her head down on my shoulder. I turned to look at her and saw she was asleep. She looked so peaceful and beautiful. I know I shouldn't be catching feelings for her because she just got out of a bad relationship and the last thing she needs is another guy she needs to worry about. But I can't help it, she is the most amazing person I have ever met.

I snap out of my thoughts when Jack says, "Dude if you stare any longer it's going to be creepy." Everyone laughs.

"Whatever." I laugh and turn my attention back onto the movie.

After the movie

"Anyone wanna play mario kart?" Daniel asks us.

"I will. Just give me a sec I'm gonna go but Grace in bed so we don't wake her up." I say and grab Grace bridal style and carry her to my room.
