We get home and I go into the kitchen to start dinner. I open up all the cabinets and look through the fridge, and nothing. The only thing I could find was premade meals and ramen.
"Dang it." I say to myself as I shut the fridge.
"What's wrong?" I hear someone ask, I look up and see that Jonah had walked into the kitchen.
"We don't have any of the ingredients I need." I laugh.
"I can take you to the store if you would like." he offers with a smile across his face.
"Thanks." I smile at him.
~After store~
The car ride to the store was quiet, awkwardly quiet. While we were in the store it wasn't as awkward because we just talked about what we needed to get for dinner. Now we are in the car and it is quiet again.
"Can I say something?" Jonah asks.
"I just wanted to let you know that... with me trying to kiss you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I made it weird between us and...well I was just wondering if things could go back to what we were before?" He asks.
I was about to answer and say yes, but then I hear Corbyn's voice in my head yelling at me to tell him how I feel. So I take a deep breath and gather my thoughts.
"Jonah, I don't think things will ever be able to go back to the way they were before." I say.
"Wait please Grace..." he tries to talk but I cut him off.
"Because I want us to be more." I say with a smile.
Jonah looked shocked and ecstatic at the same time. "I thought...you..." he was struggling to find the right words.
"I realized that I shouldn't be wasting time thinking about what passed and start being happy." I say, then realize we are at the house.
Jonah's face turned from shock to pure happiness. He turned to look at me and with the biggest smile I have ever seen. Then he turned a bit more serious.
"Grace" he paused, I looked at his face trying to figure out what he was going to say next.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asks looking deep into my eyes.
"Yes!" I yell and jumped over and kissed him while still in the car.

After a few minutes we get out and walk into the house, hand in hand.
"Hey guys were back!" Jonah yells as we get into the door.
"Wow! What happened while you were gone?" Zach asks while pointing to us holding hands.
I look over at Corbyn who has a proud smile across his face. Then I look up and Jonah who also has a big smile on his gorgeous face.
"Grace is my girlfriend now!" He yelled excitedly.
