dear diary,
so, i may only be 17, but apparently to my dad, i don't act like a teenager at all. i'm pretty sure he heard me and steve last night, but it doesn't really matter. because it happened, and i don't regret it.
sincerely, y/n.
I woke up to my dad screaming. I rolled my eyes and got dressed. I walked downstairs and listened to my dad. "She's a teenager. She's too young to be doing anything like that, Nat. How could you not tell me any of this? I'm gonna kill him." My eyes widened and I ran to Steve's room.
"Steve??" I called. He turned and looked at me. "Don't worry. He knows about us. Well, not fully. But he knows most. Nat kept everything between you and I a secret so he's gonna kill Peter. Not me." I felt relieved. I went and hugged Steve. "Well goodmorning." I breathed. He laughed. "Good afternoon to you too." I stopped.
"It's the afternoon?" I asked. He nodded. "You must've been tired last night." He winked. I pushed his shoulder and laughed. "Only because of you, Mr. Extreme." I said. He picked me up bridal style and ran down the stairs.
He threw me on the couch and walked over to Bucky. I couldn't help but overhear on the conversation. "Look, Steve. I understand you love her. And I know I told you to go for it. But that doesn't give you the right to do whatever you want with her. She's not some toy to mess around with." Dad said. I widened my eyes.
"Look. If you think that's really what's going on, then you don't know me like I thought you did. I love her more than anything. I would never do that to her. Whatever we did last night, which is none of your business, was all up to her. She told me she wanted to. Okay?" Steve started getting angry. I got up and stepped in. "Dad, can you please calm down and not blame Steve for anything? He was considerate enough to hold his feelings until I was actually okay. I feel like if you were in the same situation with Nat, you would've told her now. While she's with Bruce. Which is, btw, not okay." I said.
My dad had nothing to say. He just grimaced and walked away. I turned to Steve and grabbed his hands. "Please tell me he's not getting into your head." I said. He shook his head. "He's being Bucky. He's always looked out for you. No matter who you were with, he's always had trust issues when it came to boyfriends." He laughed. "I'm guessing you did too." I said.
"Oh of course. Why wouldn't I?" I shrugged. "I kinda wanna go to the park. You think I could just go and have some time to myself?" I asked Steve. "No. I don't mind. Take as much time as you need." I blushed and flew off of the balcony.
I got to the park and saw MJ sitting on a bench. She reminded me of when we were best friends. I decided to walk over to her. "How could you?" I asked. She looked at me confused. "What are you talking about?" She asked. "You went out with Peter, knowing we were dating. And you didn't care. You still did it. Why?" I asked. "I have no clue what you're talking about. Get out of my face, Y/n." She spat. I held out my hand, trying to grab for her arm when she froze.
I looked around and nobody was frozen. Just her. I walked over to her and stood in front of her, with my hand still up. I put my hand down and she unfroze. She stared at me for a second, then started looking around. "How did you do that?" She asked quickly. I shrugged. "Tell me why you would do that to me. Please. That's all I wanna know." I pleaded.
She looked around, like she didn't want anyone to know. "I needed you two to break up." I started getting angry. "You what?" I asked in disbelief. "Why would you do that?" I asked. "Because there's someone after him. That person was in my house. They told me that if I didn't break you two up, they'd kill you. And him. You were my bestfriend. I couldn't let that happen." She said. I read her mind to see if she was telling the truth.
She wasn't.
I blasted her with my powers, and walked away. She was knocked out in the grass.
I flew back to the tower and went to my room.
I heard knocking when I laid down on my bed. "Not now Dad." I yelled. "Well that's just too bad." Steve came in and said. I laughed. "Okay fine 'Dad'. You can come in."
He walked over to my bed and laid down with me. He could tell I was upset. "What's wrong?" He asked. I shrugged, and he sat up. "No lay back down." I whined. "Only if you tell me what's wrong." He said. I sighed. "Fine. I saw MJ at the park. I decided to confront her about the whole Peter situation because she used to be my bestfriend. You will never believe what happened. She tried to tell me she didn't know what I was talking about and then I froze her." His eyes widened. "You froze her?" He asked.
I nodded my head. "And blasted her. She lied to me about why she let him cheat. She told me someone threatened to kill me and Peter if she didn't break us up." I said through my teeth. "Did you see why she actually did it?" He asked. I nodded. "She was going to kidnap him if he didn't. He didn't know that though. Which means he literally just did it for no reason." I said.
Steve got up and headed for my door. "Steve, what are you doing?" I asked. "Going to kick some ass." My eyes widened. "Steve watch your language please." I joked. "And I don't think you should go after him. He doesn't deserve all this attention because of me." I laughed. Steve glared at me. "You gonna hold that against me forever?" He asked. I nodded.
He shrugged and walked back to me, laying down and grabbing my waist. We started cuddling, and eventually fell asleep.
