Iwatched solemnly from my window as everyone arrives on campus for move-in day. I should probably go down to the courtyard and try to find Stella and Sky, but I'm not mentally enough prepared for their drama right now. Sky had told me, that Stella really hadn't talked to him all summer after their breakup last year, and I certainly did not want to get caught in the middle of them considering everything that had happened the year prior.
I sighed, standing up and making my bed, my new roommate would probably be here soon. My room was the only suite in the tower of Alfea. It only had enough room for me and another person. I was lucky before classes started, that I didn't have to room with anyone.
I guess I can kiss smoking in my room goodbye.
I groaned, falling back onto the bed I just made, The best part of living at Alfea was that almost no one came up here because only my suite was up in the tower, it's top-notch for a casual midnight stargazing.
Although it's my second year taking classes here, I've lived at Alfea for the majority of my life so I've never really had to switch dorms. Both My parents come from high-ranking military backgrounds in Solaria. Just like Sky's dad, my parents died in the crusade against the Burned Ones 16 years ago. They were on a mission with the Alfeian battalion when they were attacked. So ever since their passing, Mrs.Dowling has let me train and live here at Alfea until I was old enough to attend Alfea.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock at the door, Shit I forgot to hide my weed! As I was scrambling to hide it and make the room look presentable, I hear the door creak open loudly.
"Hmm that smells familiar, I think we'll get along just fine," a very smooth-toned voice said from behind me.
As I turned around slowly, I was faced with a rather pretty girl, with auburn colored hair styled in french braids, and deep brown eyes.
I smiled and held out my hand "Hi I'm Lydia your roommate and mentor for the year, sorry about the smell got a bit of anxiety, you know the first day back and everything... Anyways what's your name love?"
She shook my hand and put some of her stuff she was holding on the ground "The names Beatrix. I guess you don't get a lot of foot traction up here, that's good to know for the future." She said as she smirked at me in a devious way.
I laughed and rolled my eyes, knowing that whatever anxiety I had about having a roommate this year would be dissolved.
"Yeah, not a lot of people come up here because it's only this dorm, which makes for a good spot to not get caught smoking, or whatever else you made dabble in."
