To my avid reader, I hope you enjoy reading ;)

The routine was the same when I awoke as it had been the day before. One’s brother served me food and examined my wounds. Meanwhile, the other was just simply observing me quietly in the corner. As if she's expecting me to do something amusing that will compel her to act.

After he checked on me, Oueiji professionally cleaned the wounds and also replaced them with a new bandage.

"The next time you potentially hurt him, I'll gladly offer to cut straight your spinal cord with the fork you attempted on him yesterday."

Trying to intimidate me?

My attention shifted to Oueiji's neck as I tried to recall what I had done the day before. Bandages had already been placed on it.

It's a good thing he didn't get a deep slit in his throat.

"You said we'd talk today," I immediately brought up the subject of last night's conversation.

"It appears you've already gotten close to her, Eiji."

She's such a vexing creature.

I stared at her with a cold, contemptuous intensity, but I smirked as she stared back at me with the same intensity as I stared at her.

It's no surprise that she's Hale's best friend.

“One, can you please leave us for a minute?”

“Are you certain that a minute is enough time?”

He looked at her with a sort of warning expression. One, on the other hand, was uninterested. Instead, she continued to speak suddenly, claiming that only they could understand what she was saying.

Watashi wa saru koto ga dekimasen, soshite kanojo ga futatabi sore o shite iru to shitara dō narimasu ka?”

“Watashi mo kanojo o mitsukeru tame ni kanojo no tasuke o motomemasu.”

One simply nodded and left us in the living room after his cold remark. He shifted to a more comfortable position as he fixed his gaze on me with his strict demeanor. The calm and professional demeanor are no longer present. I waited for him to say something, seeing him think deeply before speaking.

"I'm not sure if I should discuss this with you when you have only recently regained consciousness—"

"You're talking way too much."

I cut him off because I was becoming irritated by his constant talking. I knew what he was getting at; he was just probably thinking of the appropriate words to sugarcoat it so that it didn't leave me suspicious nor bothered. And it makes me feel pretty annoyed about that as well.

As he saw my stern look, he paused for a moment, calmly, and said, "I wanted to ask you a favor."

My face became calm as he spoke directly to the point, which led him to suspect me. It's amusing to me that he helped me. However, I must accept his favor in return.

I was about to return to my room and figure out a way to get out of the house. However, his unexpected words, which I'm looking for, caused me to stare at him coldly.

"In exchange for telling you how you ended up here and how I helped you, I'd like you to find someone."

I directly responded, "I'm not the person you're specifically looking for to help you."

I stood up immediately, preventing him from persuading me. But I think he already persuaded me as he mentioned a clue.

“A woman sent you here, but she only left a few words for you. However, it was too bothersome as she let me decide if I’ll tell it to you or not.”
