Since Valentine's Day has passed, red is still never too late for Vaeilles'

In my presence, the darkness' strange gaze was too overwhelming. It was so overwhelming that my body jerked back into rhythm as I became aware of the shadows following me quietly.

I should've confronted them before climbing up to Zyan's balcony. I could feel their gazes and dark shadows even before I arrived at Zyan's house.

There are only three reasons why they would follow me. It could be Chase or Grandma's behavior, as I asked for their assistance in protecting Zyan and Shawn. It is their men, as I have seen them searching for me for the past month. If it wasn't Chase or Grandma's men, it only explained that they were my father's men. He knew I couldn't stop myself from seeing Zyan and Shawn, even if it meant risking my life. But even if neither of them were acting in this manner, it would remain a mystery to me.

How can I so consciously ignore crucial behavior?

And now, I have no other things that’d protect me from them. I guess I have no other option. If I stopped walking slowly, that’d give them a chance to lure me. I quietly started observing the roof, even the corner of the houses as well as the lamp post. The strange noises have now gone. However, it didn’t escape their footsteps from me. The clicket of guns and something ironic gets into my nerves.

I checked my phone to see what time it was. 3.45 a.m. I'm supposed to be at Mochizuki's house right now. One would most likely check on me in 15 minutes. It only takes three minutes to defeat them. Even so, whether they are too numerous to kill or kidnap me is a primary concern.

“You must be Trubel Syvianne Vaeille.”

I was supposed to anticipate them aiming a knife or a gun at me, or even persuading me to come to them or kidnapping me. However, claiming to clarify my identity... it wasn't my father's, Chase's, or Grandma's men.

“I see.” I commented.

I turned to face the man or them, but he stopped me in my tracks as I felt the cold iron.

“Don’t do such things that’d trigger us to harm you, Ms. Vaeille.” He warned.

I raised both of my hands, to give them assurance that I wouldn’t trigger them.

“You’re not one of my father’s men. Perhaps, you’re one of the major predators of my father.”

“More than that.”

As he uttered his final words, I felt a strange sensation in my neck that caused my body to react at the same rate as his. Instead of hitting my neck, he pounded my left waist with a strange iron. He smirked as he saw me groaning in pain and took advantage of the opportunity. He quickly twisted his knife, which had pierced my left waist, and grabbed it when he heard my groans. Using my strength, I attempted to fight him back. However, he’s good in close combat. I must devise a strategy and stall for time in order to attack the weakest point.

Instead of feeling threatened, it made me smile wickedly at him, demonstrating that he's too fast and strong to kill me.

This must be entertaining. Years have passed, and I still miss this feeling.

Despite being stabbed, I was able to avoid his blows. My arm was bleeding after I felt the sting once more, but it didn't matter whereas I kept dodging his hits and imitating his movements. I was surprised that it wasn't an iron as I stared at his strange iron. Unfortunately, it is too dark to discern its appearance.

“Dío! Ópos epithymoún oi mathités, skotóste tin amésos. Den prépei na tis dósoume tin efkairía na fýgei. To periméname chrónia.”

“Baneis empódio sti stigm mou, Éxi!”
