It was one of Shuichi's regular days working that he had bumped into a rather unfortunate incident. He was working the cash register when a girl around his age came up and waited for him to finish scanning her items she was buying. Which was a lot, actually. Paper cups, plates, snacks, drinks, ect. Shuichi deduced by her glamorous clothes and charms she was a sort of extroverted, outgoing girl and was hosting a get together with friends. He could be wrong. But he doubted it after awhile she began talking to him.
"So, do you work here full time?"
Shuichi was a caught a bit off gaurd. He shook his head after blinking a few times rapidly. "N-no. Just part time while I'm in school," he replied, continuing to scan each item and put it in a bag. He probably didn't seem too chatty, but Shuichi wasn't that amazing talking to strangers– especially starting up conversations with them.
But the girl didn't give up talking to the shy boy, and proceeded to lean quite close. "Yeah? You know what, I think you're super cute . "
Shuichi turned red and froze. He didn't even have time to respond because she was doing all the talking.
"I'm having a party tomorrow night. You should totally come," she insisted, batting her deep brown eyes at him. Suddenly, Shuichi felt uncomfortable and unsure what to do. He was hardly accustomed to girls flirting with him. Especially such outspoken ones like this girl right here. She was definitely pretty, which only made poor Shuichi more confused what she could ever want with him.
Meanwhile was Kokichi was e̶a̶v̶e̶s̶d̶r̶o̶p̶p̶i̶n̶g̶, or , happened to listen in to what this girl was saying from the checkout aisle behind Shuichi, the purple-eyed male glared unimpressed. She was trying to flirt? Kokichi mentally scoffed. He could do much better than that.
"Your name is... Emo Mess-" the girl looked at his nametag. She brushed it off. "I can work with that. Do you think you would be inter–" but was cut off when Kokichi suddenly appeared from behind Shuichi, startling both Shuichi and the girl.
"I have a question, Mr. Emo Mess~ " Kokichi hummed the name by Shuichi's ear, being much too close, their bodies about to touch. "Do you have your phone in your pocket?" He asked curiously. Then smirked and whispered charmingly and loud enough the female customer could hear, "Because that ass is calling me~"
Now.. Now Shuichi went braindead. His face went on fire and he froze, unable to do or say anything. He was still holding a bag of chips in one hand, his scanner in the other. But he was a statue now. Just staring at the bag of Lays Chips in his hand without saying a word or moving an inch.
"Nishishi. Sorry Saihara-chan ! That's all I needed to ask!" Kokichi patted Shuichi's shoulder before he walked away and back to his own register, and quite proud of himself and was in a much better mood the rest of the day. While the rest of the day, Shuichi hardly spoke, couldn't seem to snap out of it, and was unable to look at Kokichi in the eye for a good few days after that.
