"And here we are." Kaede opened the door to the back room.
"Huh. It's bigger than I thought." Shuichi observed, looking around the large room with white walls, checkered floors, around dozen round tables with chairs scattered causally in the center of the room. Vending machines bending trashcans against the wall and so was a set of lockers for the employess person items to keep safe. And a coat rack next to it in the corner to keep coats and hats. Shuichi now was anxious if it was mandatory to keep your hats there because he felt more comfortable with his on. Especially around people.
However, Shuichi noticed that the back room for employees was a complete mess-- no-- a huge mess; wrappers and bags layed on all the tables, empty soda cans, crumbs, and pieces of trash here and there.
"Wow.. . It's trashed.." Shuichi mumbled to himself- quietly so he wouldn't be heard and seen as rude. He blinked as he then scanned the room for the general manager. However, to his luck, he did see someone sitting on one of the chairs with their back facing him. They seems to be hunched over looking at something they were holding.
"E-Excuse me. I'm Shuichi Saihara and was wondering if-" Shuichi started, putting his hand on the stranger's chair and was in the middle of hesitating if he should tap their shoulder as he tried to get their attention; however they turned around and looked up at him before he could.
"What are you doing?" Asked a little red-headed girl who was probably also a teenager, but she was so small and had such a baby face that it was harder to tell. She also had a blunt and boring tone, like Shuichi was messing with her.
"N-Nothing, um. Do you know where Byakuya Togami is?" Shuichi asked with a slightly nervous laugh and scratched his cheek.
"Nyeh...go to his office obviously..." the girl mumbled, the side of her face squishing back against the table and onto some cards she must have been playing with. She sighed and made weird little mumbled sounds and reminded Shuichi that her face was being glued and absorbed by table. Kinda like Himoto-chan with basically every surface.
"T-Thanks." Shuichi thanked and Kaede poked his shoulder and pointed to a room with a large, wooden, nicely-made frame and the title 'General Manager ' carved on it.
"I have to go now. I work at the cashier, but I hope it all goes well." Kaede wished him luck and waved as she hurried off to continue work.
Shuichi cleared his throat quietly and knocked on the door. Like the story had mentioned before; this was his first job. And being an Ultimate, his classmates made fun of him wanting to work, and so he hoped he wouldn't have to make it a big deal he came from Hope's Peak to do something so ordinary for ordinary people.
And after a few brief moments, a 'Come in.' was heard on the other side, and Shuichi did just that.
