With arms wide open

/ daddy daughter's day /

I woke up by someone crawling in my bed, I looked around to see my new little brother getting inside my blankets, I looked at him and asked:

"What's wrong Mike?"

"I had a nightmare and I didn't want to be alone"

I wrapped my arms around him and asked:

"Did you tell Mom and Dad?"

I feel how he shocked his head 'no', so I stood up and told him:

"You should Mike, they'll help you better than I can"

"But I'm afraid"

There was a moment of silence and then I asked:

"Do you want me to go to their room and talk to them first?"

"Would you do that?"

"Of course" I told him while I sat on my bed "But I want you to come with me"

He groaned but said:

"Okay, I will"

I stood up and he with me, and before we left he took my hand, soon we were in front of our parents room, and so we went in to a very dark room, I knew that Dad's side was the nearest to the door, so we came up to him, I knelt behind Mike and touched Dad's arm with Mike's hand, making him groan a little bit, he moved to face us, and then suddenly he sat up in the bed and asked us:

"What happens?"

I was about to answer when Mike did:

"I had a nightmare and I was wondering if I could sleep with you tonight"

He didn't answer, instead he turned on the light of his lamp that was in his night table, and sat down on his bed to look down at us, he smiled and asked:

"So do you want to sleep here tonight uh?"

Mike just nodded, and Dad opened his arms and said:

"Hop on Mike, you too princess"

"What? No, it's okay, I'll sleep in my own bed"

"No you will not, here now"

I smiled and got into bed, I was next to my Dad and Mike next to Mom, and as 

I was going to lay in bed when I hear Dad say:

"Hon?"

"Yes?" I ask in a whisper too

"What about we have a daddy daughter day tomorrow since I have a day off?"

"Really?" I asked excitingly, but then I asked "But what about Mom and Mike?"

"I bet they'll have one together too, Mike needs clothes and I'm not much of a help there"

I smiled and told him:

"Sure Dad, we'll have a daddy daughter day tomorrow"

"Yay!" he whisper yelled, he kissed me on the forehead and told me "Now go to sleep princess" 

"Okay Dad, goodnight"

"Good night"

And with that I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow.

I woke up next day alone in the bed, I looked around confused, since no sound was heard, I quickly got out of the bed and out of the bedroom to head to the living room to find the rest of my family watching TV:

"Good morning everybody"

They all looked at me and smiled, dad was the first one to stand up and come over to me and give me a hug, when he let go he cupped my head in his hands and told me:

"You'll need to get ready after breakfast princess, we're going to have the best Dady daughter day ever"

I looked at him and said:

"Yay!"

He smiled again and gave me another hug before letting go and saying to everybody:

"Okay, to the kitchen, let's have breakfast, all of us have a lot of things to do today"

I got to the kitchen and got a bowl of Cheerios and ask:

"Really like what?"

Dad looked at me with the smile that kids had when they are hiding something, I groaned, but he didn't tell me anything, so I turned around and said to Mike:

"Mike, want Cheerios?"

He stood up from the couch and came to me and said:

"Yes, please"

He both sat down on the kitchen isle while I grabbed another bowl for him, he told me:

"Do you know what I'm going to do today Lu?"

I looked at him with a smile and asked after swallowing the cereals in my mouth:

"No I don't Mike, what are you going to do?"

His smile grew wider and said almost yelling:

"I'm going to get new clothes!!"

I laugh and said:

"That's so cool, and let me tell you that Mom knows a lot about clothes, so let her pick them for you"

He nodded and said:

"Okay Lu, I will"

When we had finished our breakfast we sat down in the couch at the living room and turned on the TV, Mom and Dad were nowhere to be seen, but when we had been ten minutes watching Paw Patrol, Mike's favourite show, when Dad came in and told me:

"Lu, get up to your room and get changed please"

I groan while I got up and headed to the stairs when Dad came up to me and told me while he hugged me:

"Put on a swimsuit and grab a spare one"

I let go of the hug and made a face of not knowing what was happening but the only thing I got from him was that he push me towards the stairs and told me: 

"Just do it honey, I bet your going to like what were going to do today"

I smiled at him and ran upstairs to get changed

I got down ten minutes later changed, I had a blue bikini and a white beach dress, when I got down Dad looked at me and smiled:

"You're beautiful princess!"

I blushed and looked down to the floor while I said: 

"Thanks Dad"

He came up to me and gave me a hug, until Mom said: 

"Hey you two, you're going to be late if you don't leave now"

Both Dad and me laughed and said:

"Okay, we're leaving now" he approached her and gave her a hug and a kiss that took for too long, Mike appeared and we both said at the same time: 

"Ugh, that's gross"

Mike was now by my side and had his head buried on me, they let go and began laughing:

"Didn't like it uh?"

"No, but whatever" I said while I rolled my eyes and began laughing, Dad approached me and he took me to place me on his shoulders making me yell while he did it, and when we where at the door and Dad had already picked the car keys he said:

"Say goodbye to Mom"

"Bye Mom, bye Mike!"

"Bye honey" Mom said back

"Bye big sis, see you later"

And with Dad got me down to the floor and we headed to the car to start the daddy daughter day
