Louis' pov
I woke up not feeling too good, I had a pounding headache and my left ear felt like someone poured cement in it. That's how clogged it was. My ear also really hurt, I probably had an ear infection but I didn't want to tell anyone because that would mean two things I don't like would happen. If I told Harry, he would take me to a doctor and I hate the doctor's, it makes me so nervous every time. If I went to the doctor and had an ear infection, then the doctor would probably give me ear drops and I can't stand those. They are cold and uncomfortable and make me feel like I've just been swimming and I've got water in my ear.
I didn't feel like getting out of bed because I was a little dizzy from all the pressure in my head. I just rolled over and closed my eyes, but didn't actually go to sleep. I stayed with my eyes closed for another ten minutes before I felt Harry shift and sit up. I felt him lean over and kiss my forehead and then make a surprised "oh!" Sound.
The next thing I felt him do was reach over and put a hand to my forehead, I guessed I must have a fever too. By this point, I opened my eyes and looked up at him. He saw that I was awake and smiled, "good morning, Boobear," he said.
"Mornin'," I responded.
"Are you feeling okay? I think you have a fever," Harry told me.
I decided I should just tell him my ear hurt, it was kind of hard to hide sickness when you have a fever. "No, I've got a headache and my ear hurts really bad."
Harry frowned, and said just what I was dreading, "I think we should take you to a doctor."
I groaned, Harry knew how nervous I got about doctors, "it'll be alright, Lou. I'll sty with you the entire time."
"Fine," I grumbled.
Harry went and called the doctor and came back to tell me we had an appointment at 11:30 today. He helped me have a shower and get dressed because I was still dizzy and then he made us a small breakfast before we had to go.
In the car Harry said to me, "how do you feel now?"
I shrugged, "my ear feels like it's about to explode, if that gives you any clues."
Harry chuckled at my sarcasm, "I'm sorry you aren't feeling well, Lou. But hopefully the doctor will give you something to make it better." I nodded in agreement.
When we got to the doctors office, I took a deep breath and got out of the car. Harry came over to my side and held my hand. We walked in together and he told me to go to the waiting area and he would go tell the receptionist we were here. He came back and sat down when he was done, "wow, she seems crabby. I feel bad for the people who have to work with her," He said quietly. I laughed, if Harry said someone wasn't nice, they probably weren't nice.
We sat for another five minutes before the doctor came in to the waiting room and called, "Louis Tomlinson?"
Harry and I got up and walked over to her. "I'm Louis," I said with a smile.
"Okay, great! Follow me, Louis," she said smiling. She told me her name was Doctor Andi and I was one of her first patients at this doctor's office.
When we got into the room she looked in my ear with one of her tools and I could feel my heart rate going up and I guess Harry could too because he looked at me from where he was sitting and gave me a reassuring nod and a smile. I smiled back at him and tried to calm down a little.
When Doctor Andi was finished, she told me I definitely had an ear infection and she gave me a prescription for pain pills and ear drops. Just what I'd been dreading. Harry didn't know I didn't like ear drops so I guess I would just have to try to use them.
We thanked the doctor and left the building. When we got to the car, I was starting to feel worse than I had all day. I was freezing cold but when I rested my head against the cool glass of the window, the relief felt amazing. I closed my eyes, but didn't fall asleep.
"Are you doing okay, Boo?" I heard Harry ask.
"I'm really not feeling well, Hazza," I replied.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Baby. We're almost at the pharmacy and you can wait here and rest while I pick up the medicine, okay?" He said. I nodded and then actually fell asleep.
I must have been out cold because when I woke up, I was lying down on the couch covered in a light blanket. Harry was sitting in the chair across from me, watching the the tv quietly. "Haz?" I asked, sleep still present in my voice.
He looked up, "glad to see you're finally awake. I had to carry you inside because you wouldn't wake up. Do you need anything?"
I smiled sleepily, "I'm kind of hungry, could you get me a snack, please?"
"Only because you said please," he chuckled before standing up and going to the kitchen.
When he came back he had a tray with a bowl of soup and a glass of water on it. He set the tray on my lap once I had sat up. "Thank, Babe. This is really good," I expressed, almost shoveling the soup into my mouth. I didn't realize ho hungry I had actually been.
"Whoa, slow down there, Lou. You don't want to get sick," Harry exclaimed. I smiled up at him cheekily, "Sorry, it's just good and I was hungry." Harry just smiled and shook his head.
"Eat up and then you need to take some medicine and get some ear drops in your ear," Harry told me.
I really didn't want to do the drops but my ear was starting to hurt worse, so I just had to suck it up because I knew it would make me feel better. I finished eating and Harry went to the kitchen to get me medicine. When he came back, he handed me two of the pain pills and I took them easily. But, now it was time for the drops, that was going to be a little less easy.
"Lie down with your sore ear face up so I can put the drops in," Harry told me.
I hesitantly rolled over and he went to put the drops in. I felt myself flinch a little as I felt his hand getting closer to me, I hoped he wouldn't notice. But he did. I felt him move his arm back. "Is something wrong, Lou?" He questioned.
I looked up at him and he had a sympathetic look on his face, "I know your ear hurts but it will feel better once we have these in, I promise," Harry told me.
"No, I know that. It's just that I don't like the drops," I told him quietly.
"Oh," He said quietly.
"I know, I know. I sound like a baby, but it's true," I said.
"No, you aren't a baby. You don't like them and that's fine, but can you trust me to put them in?" Harry asked.
"I guess," I mumbled. He smiled at me and bent back down.
"Okay, I'm going to be gentle but it's going to be cold," he told me.
I nodded and closed my eyes. It only took about two minutes before I felt Harry squeeze the drops into my ear. I felt the freezing cold liquid run through my ear, it hurt and I flinched. "It's over now, Boobear, I promise. I know it was cold but you did so good," Harry told me.
"That sucked," I mumbled and Harry just laughed. "I know, but you only have to do it twice a day for a week and your ear should be better," he told me.
"A week?!" I exclaimed, starting to sit up. Harry pushed me back down, "you have to lay there for five minutes so the drops go in. Also, yes, a week. It will get easier to do though." I wasn't sure if I believed him but I nodded anyway.
A week went by and I was right, doing the drops didn't get better. But my ear felt better now, and I was glad that I had Harry there to help me.
