Robin
I had never in my life pulled away from someone so quickly. 'God, this is not going well and I am so mad about it' I thought to myself. I hurriedly opened the door and stepped outside followed by Zatanna. Sure enough, there they were. The whole team standing right next to the door. Looking in our direction, they all smirked which was then followed by a burst of laughter.
'Soooo...what took you so long in there?' Wally mocked.
'Wow, looks like we weren't so smart about the whole 'figured their prank out' thing' Zatanna scoffed.
'Yeah, they really got us there. Wow, 'nice prank' guys' I added sarcastically.
'Don't tell me you're mad, Robin! I bet you didn't even mind it' Megan chuckled.
'Well, why wouldn't I be when you all purposely woke me up, in the middle of the night, and got me to believe that Zatanna wanted to talk to me about something important! You guys basically lied to both of us!' I hissed back.
'Even if we did wake you up, it's a bit suspicious that you voluntarily decided to stay up and actually wait for her. Could we maybe know the reason why, Mr Grumpy?' Artemis smirked, crossing her arms across her chest.
Everyone went silent as all eyes were fixed on me. I used the advantage of having my dark shades on to take a glance of Zatanna. She had lowered her head, desperately trying to hide the blush spread across her face.
Zatanna
I have never in my life felt so embarrassed. Everyone was just staring at us and all I could do was stand there with my gaze lowered. I waited for Robin to say something but he just stood there silently. It was so awkward, I had to do something. I inhaled sharply and raised my head up and looked towards the teams;
'Okay, this is TOTALLY not what you guys think. Uhm...I- I'm sure Rob thought I had something important to tell him, hence why he waited!' I exclaimed hesitantly.
'God that was so not believable, why the stuttering, ugh!' I whispered to myself, looking back down.
'Oh so we're using nicknames now, huh?' Wally smirked.
I felt my face go bright red as I realized what I had just said. I had called him Rob. Oh my god what is wrong with me! Sure it said 'Rob' on the letter, but he wasn't the one who wrote it.
'Bravo, Zatanna. Now the whole team definitely thinks there's something going on between you and Robin' I thought to myself. One question, was that really something bad..
'Focus, Zatanna, FOCUS!' I said, shaking my head softly.
I was about to respond when my attempt was interrupted.
Kaldur
'My friends, I think it is best for us to go back to our rooms. This is their personal matter.' I added, breaking the awkward silence.
It felt very impolite of myself to help the others embarrass them. I felt the need to let them know to stop. I was the leader, my job was not just to make sure missions were successful, but to make sure all members respected each other at all times.
'He's right. We have training tomorrow' I heard a deep voice say from the corner of the room.
It was Conner. He did not seem to like doing this either. Artemis, Wally and Megan were the only ones that actually wanted to this. It felt a bit unnecessary to me, but I did not feel the need to ruin their plans, so I made the decision not to say anything.
Wally
'Fine. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not getting yelled at by Canary again for being late. She's so loud' I exclaimed with my hands in the air.
I felt someone smack me in the back of my head.
'OW! What was that for?' I whined, rubbing my head.
'For shouting so loud, It's like 4am!' Artemis growled.
'Why does she always have to be so violent' I thought to myself.
'Yeah, we should all head to bed. But we'll deal with you two next time! ' Megan added with a raised eyebrow, looking towards the two youngest.
The duo rolled their eyes as everyone headed back to their rooms. I was about to head back when I caught something on Robin's face. I smirked to myself.
'Robing Robin Robin, why do you have to make it SOO easy for me to embarrass you' I whispered.
Robin
I turned around to go back to my room when I was stopped by a voice;
'Hey! Don't forget to wipe the lipstick off your lips! I wonder who's it is?' I heard Wally shout with a teasing tone.
Everyone froze and tuned around, looking back at me. My eyes widened as I realized what he had just said.
Zatanna
'OH. MY. GOD' I screeched quietly. I couldn't believe it. I was so focused on the kiss we shared in the closet that I had completely forgotten to take my makeup off before going to bed.
'Shoot, we are so busted' I thought as I slapped the palm of my hand to my forehead.
'This night really couldn't get any more embarrassing' I thought to myself as I lowered my head in embarrassment..
A/N: Hey guys! I hope you're doing well. :) I'm so happy that I've finally finished this chapter because, for some weird reason, this took 2 days to write as I kept changing it. Funny thing is, I think it's the shortest one so far lol
Anyways, I really hope you guys are still interested in this story and please, leave some chapter ideas so I can make this story less repetitive and more enjoyable!
