Chapter 3

A/N: y'all I'm actually so sorry for literally updating this at like 2am on a school night- I just completely forgot to publish this chapter and when I realized, I wanted to make some changes to it.. This means that, unfortunately, there will be only one chapter this week! :(((

I could not believe it, we had finally managed to get them to kiss each-other thanks to Kaldur (I really do owe him one for that). The plan wasn't over yet tho, I still had to come up with something to get them to ACTUALLY reveal their feelings for each other. I sat on my bed, trying really hard to think. Then it hit me. I had to find a way to get them to meet up with each other alone, with no distractions, and I had the perfect plan for that..

Zatanna
I was almost asleep when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I slowly sat up rubbing my eyes and looked at the clock on the side table. It was almost 2am, who could it be at this time?
I shuffled to the door, still half asleep. I turned the doorknob around and opened the door. To my surprise, no one was there. I popped my head out of my room and looked around, still seeing no figure. I was about to go back to bed when a small piece of paper on the floor caught my eye. I picked it up walking back to my room and closing the door behind.
I sat on my bed and unfolded the paper. There was something written on it. I quickly turned on the lamp and started reading it;

'meet me in my room. 2:00am. Make sure to come alone.
-Rob'
I couldn't believe what I was reading. Was he really going to tell me how he felt? No, maybe I'm just making things up at this point. He probably wants to talk about some kind of team rule that new team members need to know about, or whatever. He is Batman's sidekick after all. Or another answer would be that the team is pulling a 'welcome' prank on me. But...it couldn't have been tho, everyone else was sleeping and the closest room to mine was Robin's. I wrapped the blanket around myself and headed for the door. I opened it, trying my best not to wake the others. Sure enough, Robin's room's light was on.

Robin
I couldn't sleep that night. I kept thinking about her soft lips on mine and the heat empowering me as her body pressed against mine. I couldn't describe it. I laid on my bed staring at the ceiling thinking about her when I heard a knock on the door. It was probably Wally, he would come to my room in the middle of the night asking for snacks. I got up and grabbed my black shades on the side table, you know, for secret identity reasons, in case it wasn't him. I walked to the door, turning the doorknob around and opening it;
"Wally, what do you-" I paused as I looked around seeing no one. Was this some kind of joke or prank one of them was pulling? I was heading back to my room when i saw a piece of paper sitting in front of my door. I grabbed it and shuffled back to my bed. I turned on the light and unfolded it. There was a message written on it;

'need to talk about something. I'll meet up in your room at 2:00am. Alone.'
-Zee'
'Zee', i liked that nickname.
'Maybe she'll allow me to call her that from now on', I thought to myself. I shook my head as a way to erase the distraction and looked back to the note.
I was suspicious at first. Why would Zatanna want to talk to me, in the middle of the night while everyone was asleep? It was very strange to me. Even if this was some kind of joke, I couldn't sleep so I made the decision to wait until it was 2:00am in case she actually showed up. I sat on my bed, eyes fixed on the clock. There were 4 minutes left. I laid on my bed, facing the ceiling.

Lost in thoughts, a sudden knock brought me back to reality. I shot up and walked to the door. I opened it and to my surprise, Zatanna was indeed standing in front of me. She had a blanket wrapped around herself and her hair was in a messy bun.
"Can we talk inside? I'm still a bit confused about this." She said yawning and rubbing her eyes.
I nodded and stepped aside, letting her in. I closed the door behind her as she sat on the edge of my bed.
"So..what did you want to meet up for, is it about some rules I need to know?" She said in a sleepy voice.

I raised an eyebrow and looked at her cluelessly,
"Wait, I thought you had something to talk about" I responded.
At this point, we both looked equally confused. She handed me a note that apparently was signed by me as I handed her the note signed with her name that she supposedly gave me.
We both unfolded the notes and started reading them.

"Wait I didn't write that?" she said titling her head and furrowing her eyebrows.
"And I didn't write that either..which means...."
"I knew it, Megan was definitely up to something from that smirk she gave me earlier" she cut me off, We both laughed it off as she stood up.
"Probably some kind of prank to welcome me, and they used you to do it as well" she said, smiling and shaking her head. I laughed and walked her to the door. I was debating whether I should ask about our kiss. I built up all my strength and started;

"Hey Zee-" I began as I shifted my hand to the doorknob.
'Hmm?' She answered, turning her head to face me. Even her tired face was just so...cute. Her beautiful raven hair put up in a perfect messy bun and her bright blue eyes looking directly in mine..

Zatanna
As I waited for a response, I observed him. He was wearing dark translucent glasses, I had already guessed it was to hide his secret identity, but I could still feel his eyes fixed on mine.
"I- uhm never mind" he whispered in a low voice, looking down.
I raised an eyebrow and smiled at him before he opened the door. I walked forward not noticing the small bump on the floor. I tripped over the bump loosing balance but before I could fall, and held onto the closest thing next to me, Robin.

'Woah, careful there' he responded with a chuckle.
'Oh my god, I'm so so sorry. I'm so clumsy, I should really be paying more attention to where I'm stepping' I responded awkwardly, blushing furiously from how close we were.
'It's fine don't worry, not like I mind' he smirked.
'Oh wow, bold response' I said with a playful tone.
We both giggled quietly, ignoring how close we were to each other. The room went silent when we finally realized the awkward position we were in.
'uhm- I-' he started but stopped immediately from my action.

I don't know why and I don't know how, but at that moment I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his, giving him the most passionate kiss. Before I knew it, he wrapped his hands around my waist and began kissing me back. I moved my arm around his neck, pushing the door close behind me. I leaned against the wall, his lips still pressed against mine. I felt heat travel through my body. We pulled away for a second to catch our breaths but quickly went back in. We heard footsteps approaching the room but for some reason, we didn't care. He didn't pull away and I didn't either. This, uhm, 'scene' would've definitely lasted quite a while if we hadn't heard giggling from outside the room..

A/N: Oh my god, eek! This is definitely the chapter I had the most fun writing. I literally cannot wait until I write the next one. I'm really enjoying the whole 'Wattpad writer' experience! I hope you guys are enjoying this story so far! And, with that being said,
