A/N: Okay, this is some important info;
This chapter is a couple of weeks after the last one (which means that Zatanna is officially on the team). I did this because I just thought that the story was very repetitive and that Robin and Zatanna's characters were not very similar to the one's in the series.

But now that they know each other better, they can be more comfortable around each other but at the same time still have strong feelings for each-other. I'm so sorry for the sudden change and I hope you can still enjoy this chapter,
enjoy your reading <3

Robin
I was awaken by sound of my alarm. It was 6am but the sun was already out. I sat up and looked towards my window. It had already been almost a month since Zatanna joined the team, and it made me forgetting about our 'intimate interactions' even harder.
I hadn't managed to get any sleep last night and it showed; I had noticeable bags under my eyes and my skin was a bit pale. Today was a training day, which meant that I needed energy. If Black Canary saw me like this, she wouldn't let me train.
''I swear sometimes I wonder if she actually treats us like we're her children' I thought to myself before heading towards the bathroom.
I took a glance of myself in the mirror. I needed a way to make me look less tired, and have more energy. There was no time to take a short nap so the only other thing that came to my mind was..

Zatanna
Magic.
I seriously don't know what I would do without it.
'ecaf ym ffo ssenderit eht brosbA' I quickly mumbled as I stood in front of the mirror, watching the bags under my eyes disappear and the tint of my skin change back to normal.
'One more spell and I'm good to go' I told myself as I expressed the second spell to provide me with energy. I grabbed a brush from my pouch and applied some makeup on to finish the look.
After fixing myself, I walked to my side-table to grab my bow tie.
'I know I could've used a spell for that but, come on, I'm not THAT lazy' I thought as a knock was heard.

I headed towards the door, fixing my bow on at the same time.
To my surprise, a tired-looking boy wonder was standing in-front of me.
'How may I help you on this delighted day sir?' I asked jokingly with my hands on my hips.
He rolled his eyes playfully;
'Well, now that it seems as if you've become very formal, ill return the words; would you ma'am be kind enough to do me a favor involving your true talent of magic?' He responded with a posh tone, leaning on the door frame.
'That sounded a bit too natural' I giggled with a raised eyebrow.
'Ok jokes aside, can you please help me look less like I haven't slept for 2 months' he said, gesturing to his face.
I let out a few laughs and stepped back a bit to 'observe' what I was working with.
'Zee, I know I'm very attractive, but quit checking me out and help me already or else we'll be late to training!' He exclaimed in a cocky tone.
'I'm not checking you out, idiot I'm observing what I'm working with' I responded, rolling my eyes.
'You literally just described what checking out mea-'
'Okay! Shut up, in doing it!' I cut him off.

After the few interactions we had, I felt more comfortable around Robin. We never brought up both of the kiss, I'm guessing it's because we're both to scared to, and we just had such an amazing friendship (which I desperately wanted to turn into something more) but that also involved a surprising amount of flirting. He was the one person I could talk to about my feelings other than Artemis. Artemis was my best friend, we just had so much in common from personality to likings, and all sorts of things. Don't get me wrong, I loved Megan and all of the other team members like a family but I just felt more comfortable sharing my feelings with those two specific people.

'ssenderit fo ecart yna esare, niboR fo tuo seenderit eht brosbA!' I recited as glowing light swooshed across him.
'Thanks, I really do owe you one for that' he responded.
'Yeah, just have an excuse ready for us being 15 minutes late to training' I added biting my lip nervously.
'Oh shoot' he responded, slapping the palm of his hand to his forehead.

'You're late' Canary said coldly.
'Zatanna wanted some help with a spell she needed for training and I volunteered as the good teammate and friend I am' he said confidently.
'Yeah right, I bet they were making out in the corridors' Wally whispered to Artemis who gave him a disgusted look.
I gave him a cold glare, gesturing that I had heard his comment. He gave me an awkward smile as an apology in return.
Canary squinted her eyes in suspicion before turning around to face the team;
'Okay, today we will be doing EXTREME training. Batman hasn't been happy with the results of previous missions. You need to up your game if you want a place in the Justice League in the future. You're team is very weak at the moment.' she lectured, hands on her hips.
You could feel the glares Conner was giving her, he wasn't very fond of being called weak.
'I apologize for the teams mistakes, we will make sure to upgrade our skills with as much training as possible. Thank you for your feedback' Kaldur responded with his usual formal and polite tone.
She nodded and began training. First went Megan and Kaldur, then Wally and me and lastly, Robin and Artemis. Conner suggested he trained with Black Canary, she agreed and they began.

After the training was over, we were all out of energy. We could barely stand up and move around. I am so glad I used that spell.
Too tired to keep my eyes open, I completely ignored the presence of the boy wonder. He chuckled at the state I was in.
'You really can't fight for long' he said cockily.
'You can't talk, literally most of you energy came from MY magic' I scoffed.
He rolled his eyes and helped me up.
'Hey lovebirds! You can have your cute romantic moment later and follow us to the living room, we're gonna watch a movie!' We heard Artemis smirk.
'WE ARE NOT LO- you know what, nevermind' I shouted in annoyance.
Robin smirked at my sudden reaction;
'Let's go before they make up another story' he said sarcastically.
'I swear, it's a bit suspicious that they've only been teasing us lately, don't you think?' I asked as i walked beside him. He nodded in response.
'Oh my god why does he look so hot when he's sweaty' i thought to myself as my eyes were drawn to his wet messy black hair and sharp jawline.
'Uhm, Zee? Are you okay? You've just been staring at me for the past like 30 seconds' he said with a confused tone.
I blinked aggressively and shook my head in denial;
'Oh no no no, nothing. Just thinking about something' I said with a smile, blushing slightly and tucking some hair behind my ear.
'Come on, tell me what's wrong?' he insisted.
'Nothing, don't worry!' I answered, lifting my head up to give him a small smile.
'Oh and also, have you maybe seen my dad recently?' I asked, trying to change the subject.

Robin
'Oh yeah I have actually. He was at Batman's yesterday but when I came in the room to ask what was happening, Bats told me to leave' I responded, rubbing my chin.
'That's a bit strange, maybe they were-' before she could finish her sentence, she was cut off by a low pitched scream heard from the living room...

A/N: ooooo cliffhanger! I'm very bad at those but I wanted to make it, what's the word, mysterious? I don't know lolll.
Anyways, today was my second day of school since lockdown in the UK has been eased! Yay because I got to see my friends, and yay-not because school is very long and boring.
I hope you guys liked this chapter!

And, with that being said,

I'm out! ;))
