I frantically ran downstairs and approached Childe. He looked at me and chuckled. "Is there something wrong?" I pouted. He shook his head. "You look stunning! I'm sure Zhongli will love it." Zhongli told me to meet him at the port. I barely made it on time. "Over here Y/n." I turned around and saw Zhongli. I noticed he was wearing his regular clothing. "My apologies, I couldn't find anything decent enough to wear." I shook my head. "There's no need to apologize. I think you look fine just the way you are." I smiled at him. "Anyways, you haven't told me why we're here." "Oh, I decided to book the Pearl Gallery for the night. Aside from the staff, it'll just be us." "Y-you didn't have to go so far for a date! How much did you even spend?" And where'd you get the money!?" "There's no need to worry." I sighed. "I'll let you off the hook this time but you have to learn to restrain yourself." So he had mora all along? I don't know whether to be impressed or confused. Zhongli chuckled. "I supposed we should get going?" I nodded.
We boarded the Pearl Gallery and walked around. "The view looks amazing." I said. Zhongli nodded in agreement. The gentle breeze felt relaxing against my skin. I was caught up in the moment I didn't notice his hand placed on mine. I saw him looking away with his face slightly red. I couldn't help but stare at him. "Is something the matter, Y/n?" I shook my head. "Everything's fine."
"I hope you're hungry, dinner should be ready soon." "Oh, what's on the menu?" "I didn't know what you wanted so I ordered quite a bit." "Zhongli!!" "S-sorry." We sat down and ate. The food helped me forget about everything. "I can't believe they have (f/f) here!" "I'm glad you enjoyed it." His smile made me feel better. Spending the past few hours with him has been the greatest. I wish this could last forever. I wish that stupid wedding would never happen. I knew I could never get what I wanted. I can't help but feel that this is wrong. I should be with my fiancée. I should be excited to get married into a wonderful family. But a part of me is telling me I don't belong there...
After eating, Zhongli and I watched as the sun set. We talked about all sorts of things. "Y/n, I hope your fiancée doesn't mind us going out." "It's fine, he doesn't know about any of this." He stayed silent for a while before taking a deep breathe. "Y/n, I hope you know that I'll always love you and that I intend to be by your side for as long as you want." "Zhongli?"
