Fear was a palpable presence in Tyson's heart as his eyes beheld the beautiful yet odd setting they had found themselves in. As his friend was lost to his hunger, unable to perceive anything beyond it, Tyson took it upon himself to keep both of them safe.

The hallway they found themselves in was much bigger than anything Tyson had ever seen. Furthermore, it was even more magnificent than the small room they had found themselves in.

Something about the ornate decorations and magnificent paintings tickled a memory at the back of Tyson's mind. However, he could not recall where he had seen those marvelous decorations and engravings.

One thing he was sure of was that he had never been to a place that was as luxurious as their current location. Thus, he tried to remember just where he had seen those familiar yet so utterly unfamiliar objects.

It could have been a book, a movie, or a simple image on the Internet that stuck with him. Either way, he felt that these were all clues to what was happening to them. If he could only arrange them properly, he could solve the mystery of what happened to them.

Lost in his contemplation, Tyson failed to notice how far down the hall Marcus had gone. Thus, he put aside his reveries and started running to catch up with his friend.

As he ran, his footsteps echoed off the walls raising his fears of them being discovered, of being captured. One thing he knew for sure was that even though their clothing seemed to match the opulent surroundings, they would be discovered if they didn't get away as soon as possible. That would definitely mean trouble for them.

"Slow down, will you? This place looks fancy, which probably means that we are not allowed to be here. Let's at least try to be careful," Tyson said, knowing full well that his words fell on deaf ears.

"Sure, sure," Marcus said moments before bursting into a large room full of people.

It was as beautifully decorated as the rest of what turned out to be a castle and more ostentatious than Tyson could have imagined.

The people's attire made Tyson and Marcus' silver frocks and odd pants tucked into their white socks seem normal. Even their shiny waistcoats and strange scarfs around their necks were nothing when compared with the clothes and wigs worn by the other people present.

"Dude, did we end up in a circus? These guys look ridiculous," Marcus asked, already sliding next to a table with the hors d'oeuvre.

"Hush, don't speak so loudly. We don't want them to notice us," Tyson whispered.

The enormous puffy hair that both men and women wore, though those of women were far higher, were a clear sign to Tyson, the history buff. It was the last piece of the puzzle he needed to figure out what had happened and where they were or, as it were, when they were.

Marcus, on his part, grabbed as many of the delicious sweets he could get. Then he proceeded to stuff his face into delicacies without giving further notice to anyone or anything. The beautiful arrangements of fruits and small sweets didn't seem to hold any artistic value to him as he devoured them.

Surprisingly enough, Tyson was the only one who noticed that his friend's face was covered with cake.

Marcus filled his mouth with so much food that his cheeks swelled like that of a squirrel gathering nuts.

"Slow down, you'll blow our cover," Tyson said.

"We 'ave a 'over?" Marcus asked with his mouth full.

"Well, not if you keep eating like an animal. I think I know where we are, and we really need to fit in. They don't look kindly to those who are different than them," Tyson said.
