Being accosted by someone who clearly knew more about their predicament than they did wasn't something Tyson could have predicted. Furthermore, he couldn't say why he had an instant disliking for the person even before she showed herself.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop," she said, giggling exaggeratedly.

Tyson felt as if she was playing a role, and he didn't like that. Even Sybil was careful in approaching them. Yet, this woman was way too confident for someone lost in a maze.

"That's okay. I sometimes do that as well," Marcus said, blushing as his eyes beheld the speaker.

When Tyson turned around, he knew they were done for.

The woman was a gorgeous blond with a voluptuous body and tight clothing. It was far snugger than Bosnian culture and time allowed, which in itself was odd.

However, the bigger problem was that looking the way she did and speaking in such a seductive voice, she was an embodiment of all Marcus's weaknesses.

There were two main things Marcus couldn't resist: delicious food and beautiful women.

"You're hot!" Marcus blurted out before Tyson could say anything.

"Well, thank you, sugar. You're not bad yourself," the woman said, winking seductively.

"Is there something you wanted from us?" Tyson asked coldly.

He had seen far too many manipulative women in his life who use their looks to trick men. Thus, he didn't find the woman standing before him in any way alluring. She was clearly putting on a show.

"So blunt. I love that," the woman said, stroking Tyson's cheek seductively.

"This woman wants to play both of us like a fiddle," Tyson thought as he flinched away from her touch.

"Tyson, don't be rude! She's clearly a damsel in distress," Marcus said, panting like a puppy eager to get its owner's attention.

"That I am, sweety," she said, putting a hand to her forehead dramatically.

However, it was as if Marcus was blind to her terrible overacting. All he could see was her beautifully shaped body. He couldn't see the slimy snake it hid on the inside.

"Oh, how rude of me, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Sunshine," she said, offering her hand to Marcus.

"That's such a beautiful name," Marcus said, slowly kissing her hand. "I'm Marcus, and the grumpy guy over there is my friend, Tyson."

It was as if for Marcus, time stopped. There were no problems or worries. All there was in the world was a beautiful woman he needed to conquer.

"You seem to have us at an advantage, having eavesdropped on our conversation and all that. Why don't you share with us what brings you to Sarajevo?" Tyson asked.

"The same as you. I'm just another unfortunate Mazer trying to find her place in the world," she said, batting her eyelashes.

"Oh, no. Why don't you sit down over here and tell us what happened?" Marcus said, shooing his friend off the bench.

"Aren't you a sweetheart?" Sunshine said, stumbling towards the bench like a bad actress.

Marcus hurried to help her out while she made sure to brush up against him innocently.

"Thank you," she said with a beaming smile.

Tyson could see right through her charade but wasn't sure what to do about it. He knew that if he were to tell Marcus the truth, he wouldn't believe him. The woman had already enchanted him too much for him to see reason.
