Evie had almost immediately called Henry, telling him about the flowers with the note. And he left work early to go home and comfort Evie. Evie was still with Mal at her house as she rocked Ember slowly trying to get her back to sleep.

"Are you okay, Eve?" Mal asked as she slowly approached her best friend who she could see was terrified.

"No Mal, I will never be okay as long as that hooded person is on the loose." Evie told her in a shaky voice. Her whole body was shaking, for she was absolutely terrified by that note.

She was relieved when she saw Henry walk through the front door. He took off his jacket and walked over to his wife. "How are you doing?" He softly asked as she leaned her head against him.

"I'm better now that you're here." She told him.

"Well, I guess since Henry's back now, I can get going." Mal said as she grabbed her keys and jacket, about to walk out the door.

"Thanks Mal, for being here when I'm not." Henry said.

"Yeah, of course. You guys stay safe." Mal said before she officially walked out the door.

Henry turned back to look down at his wife who he could see was crying softly. "Hey, everything's fine. You don't have to cry, Evie." He gently told her rubbing her back as he pulled her closer to him.

"It's killing me not knowing who is threatening our family." Evie said into his shirt. "It feels as if ever since Ember was born that I haven't been able to keep her safe. I feel as if I've failed as a mother. As her mother."

"Evie, don't say that. You haven't failed." Henry replied lifting Evie's head up so she could look into his green eyes. He wiped her tear stained cheeks with his thumbs as they stared deep into each other's eyes. And they only broke eye contact to look down at Ember who had begun to stir and make little grunting noises in her mother's arms. "You want me to put her in the nursery for you?"

Evie nodded as she slowly gave him their sleeping daughter. Evie laid her head against the back of the couch as she closed her eyes. And as she felt herself falling asleep, all she could see was the horrifying image of the hooded person. Her eyes shot open as she gasped sitting up. She tried to catch her breath as she panted sitting on the edge of the couch. Henry went running over to her as he came down the stairs.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Every time I close my eyes..all I can see is that person wearing the hoodie." Evie whispered.

"Listen to me, whoever the person is in the hoodie. I am never letting them hurt you again. I promise you that." He told her. Evie wrapped her arms around his neck as she hugged him as tight as she possibly could.

The hooded figure was once again just watching Henry and Evie through their security camera in their house. "I wouldn't be so sure about that." They said still in a disguised voice.

"Just wait until we get our hands on them." The hooded figure's sidekick said from beside them. "When will we get our hands on them?"

"I'm going back tonight. And this time, I will not be stopped." They replied. "You're going to hack into their security systems so the alarms won't go off when I break in, and after that, absolutely nothing can go wrong." They both laughed as they continued to watch the clueless couple who were unaware that they were being watched.

That night, as Henry and Evie we're heading to bed, Henry kissed his sleeping wife's forehead as he checked all the doors and windows to make sure they were locked. He looked out the window, to make sure no one was outside.

He didn't know if the hooded person was coming back or not, and he definitely didn't want to take any chances. After all, one could never be too careful. Once he was sure that the house was secure, he headed up the stairs and into his and Evie's room, getting in their bed, falling asleep next to Evie.

A few hours later, the hooded person pulled up in Henry and Evie's driveway getting out quietly as they approached the front door. "You hacked the alarms yet?" They asked their sidekick through the headset on their ear.

"Yep. You're clear to go." Those were the only words they needed, before they successfully unlocked the door with a pocket knife.

The hooded figure slowly opened the door, stepping inside. They looked around them at the house. Their eyes averted to the stairs, they headed up the stairs and first walked into the nursery. They looked at the sleeping baby, just innocently laying there. The hooded figure, feeling a presence behind them, turned around to see Evie standing there, absolutely horrified to see them standing there.

"Hello Evie. Long time no see." They said taking a step closer to her.

"Get away from the baby." She told them, her voice unsteady.

"You don't sound too confident. Maybe you're the one who needs to get away from the baby." They said.

"Who are you? Show me your face. Now!" Evie said.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." They replied continuing to step closer to her. "Besides, you know who I am. You just don't know who I am."

"How is that supposed to make any sense. Please, I want you to get out of my house." Evie said her voice even more unsteady.

That was when the hooded figure stood right in front of Evie

Evie's breath quickened as she didn't know what was about to happen. The hooded figure lifted their hand, looking like they were about to grab her neck, she shut her eyes waiting for them to grab her, but it never came. She heard fighting, so she opened her eyes to see Henry attacking the hooded figure.

"How dare you come back here!" He yelled waking Ember up as she then started crying. "Evie! Grab Ember and get out of here!"

Evie wasted no time in getting her baby girl and running out of the nursery locking their bedroom door. Henry continued beating the hooded figure. "Who are you?!" He yelled as he yanked the hood away from their face only to reveal the person wearing a gas mask so he couldn't see their face.

"Nice try." They said still in a disguised voice before they kicked Henry off of them and ran out of the room. Henry got himself back to his feet and ran after the hooded figure who had run outside and to their car speeding away.

Henry watched them, he still didn't know who it was under the hoodie, but he desperately wanted to know. As he remembered about Evie and Ember who were still in their bedroom, he ran back inside and up the stairs.

"Evie, it's me. They're gone." He said knocking on the door.

Evie slowly opened the door as she then hugged Henry the best she could as she still held Ember in her other arm. "Did you find out who it was?" She asked.

Henry shook his head. "I tried. I pulled back their hoodie, only to find they were wearing a gas mask. They got away again." He told her.

"Henry, what are we gonna do? We still don't know why they're threatening us. They're gonna keep coming back until they get what they want." Evie said.

"Well then let them! If they do we'll get them, and find out who they are, and then they'll be thrown in prison." Henry told her.

Evie nodded as he was right. But that didn't make her feel any less terrified. The hooded figure was still out there's without any clues as to who they could possibly be. And she still wanted to know. Now, more than ever.
