-Y/n's Pov-

All I saw was fire, it was hot all around and my vision was getting blurry from my tears. I don't know how all of this happened, it was supposed to be a happy day that I would spend with my parents. But why won't they get up, this is no time to be sleeping, we have to get out of the house. My thoughts were interrupted when a piece of the burning house fell on my leg causing it to burn, making me cry out in pain. I looked over to my where my parents were and started to limp towards them.

Y/n: M-mom, D-dad get up! Please!

I watched as neither of my parents moved so I did what I learned from the tv, I put my hand to both of my parent's necks only to feel that there was no pulse. At this point there were no more tears to cry as I stared at my parents' lifeless bodies, not having the energy to get out of the house that was starting to come down. I heard what sounded like fighting outside followed by roars of creatures that I didn't want to know.

Laying down next to my parents, I curled my tail around myself as my ears fell, waiting for when I will be with them again. What was I supposed to do without my parents, I was only 8 years old, I still don't know a lot and I wanted to learn all about the world from my parents. I wasn't going to be able to survive without their guidance, I'm just going to be all alone. A single tear fell down my cheek as I waited for the house to collapse around me.

-Yang's Pov-

Blake and I were rushing on my motorcycle to get to an urgent mission about a Faunus village that was under a severe attack by Grimm. Ruby and Weiss were sent to the east side of the village while Blake and I took the west side and then we would meet back up in the middle after we cleared it all out.

Once we finally eliminated all of the Grimm that were at the front of the village, we made our way inside to see it mostly on fire. At first glance, it was like a horror scene, houses were collapsed and there were multiple dead Faunus that were scattered around. I looked to Blake who was just as horrified but there weren't any Grimm around, it was like they just came in to destroy and kill and just left.

After recollecting myself, I grabbed my girlfriend's and gave it a squeeze in an attempt to settle her nerves but they only rose as we heard a pain-filled cry. I looked up trying to locate where the sound came from so I turned to Blake who seemed to be darting her eyes between two buildings.

Glancing at each other, we split and ran towards the houses that we thought the cry came from, I took the house farthest while Blake took the closer one. The house that I went to was on fire and on the verge of collapsing so I knew that I had to hurry and search to see if anyone was in it. As I got to the door, I could feel the heat from inside the house and I was greeted by the fire as I broke the door down. I covered my mouth as I entered the house, it being barely visible with all the flames but it wasn't too smokey since the windows were blown out, giving the smoke a place to escape.

I entered what seemed to be the living room as it showed no signs of anyone but it chanced when I turned towards the stairs. On the floor were two adults, which I'm assuming are the parents, and a small wolf Faunus girl laying in between them. My eyes widened as I ran over to them and felt for heartbeats, the parents didn't have one but there was a weak beat coming from the girl. I picked up the girl in my arms and yelled out for Blake while I ran out of the house, feeling it about to come down.

Yang: Blake I have a girl!

As soon as I stepped out of the house, the building collapsed, the force pushing me as I tucked the girl close to me so she didn't get hurt. I grunted as I made impact with the ground but quickly checked on the girl to see that she needed medical attention immediately. As I tried to assess the injuries on the girl, I could hear the rest of the team yelling to me so I got up and ran with the girl to my bike.
