-Y/N's Pov-

I hate mornings. I've always been more of a night girl anyways because I train at night since there are usually no people around. You see, I am considered one of the strongest students at Beacon as I'm on par with Pyrrha, maybe a little bit better if I do say so myself. Now that my quick and short rant is over, it was time to get ready for school and I had to hurry because my first class was with Professor Goodwitch.

~Quick time skip to after class~

It was finally lunchtime and I was heading to the cafeteria when I heard a cry of pain that came from somewhere. I stood still for a second until I heard a second cry followed by a scared-sounding voice.

???: Please stop, it hurts.

I turned around and went towards the voice and saw Team CRDL surrounding a bunny Faunus, who was crying. They started to tug on her ears hard and it sent a ping of anger through my body, I hated that Faunuses were being bullied for who they were. Walking forward, I tapped Cardin on the shoulder to which he turned around.

Cardin: What the fuck do you want, HUH? Can't you see that we are busy, get lost before we hurt you!

Y/N: I suggest that you stop messing with this poor girl and pick on someone your own size Cardin.

Cardin: Oh yea, you think that you are even close to being able to beat me in a fight. Alright then, let's see if you can stop this.

He then proceeds to throw a right hook to my jaw but it was slow and I stuck my hand out and caught his fist. Cardin looked at me dumbfounded, I guess he didn't know who I was and that I could easily kick his ass. I quickly pushed his fist away and did a leg sweep, which knocked him on his back and I proceeded to punch him once in the chest. Oh, something that I forgot to mention was that my hits are extremely hard if you get hit directly. I heard a crack when I landed the hit and Cardin let out a shout of pure pain.

Cardin: AUGHHH

Y/N: *turns to the rest of Team CRDL* You guys better get him to the clinic before I give him and the rest of you more broken bones.

The team then picked up Cardin and rushed him off to the clinic while I turned to face the bunny that was cowering against the wall. When I started walking towards her, she stared up at me and almost flinched away from me when I spoke to her.

Y/N: Are you alright Miss?

???: V-Velvet, a-and yes I-I am alright

Y/N: How are your ears, they were pulling on them quite roughly, Are you sure you don't want to go to the clinic to get them looked at to be safe?

I lean in so that I could have a look at her ears and I notice that her face grew a little red and I backed up because I thought that something was wrong.

Y/N: Velvet, are you sure that you are alright your face is getting red

Velvet: *turns away* Y-yes I'm fine, thank you for your help Y/N

Y/N: No problem, I hate bullies so they got what was coming for them

I gave her a hand up and with one last wave, I went off to the cafeteria to eat.

-Velvet's Pov-

Omg omg omg! Y/N came to help me and she saw that I was blushing, which is embarrassing but still, she came to my rescue and helped me with Cardin. Once she got me up and walked off I ran to find Coco and tell her what happened. While I was walking to go find Coco I thought about Y/N, I've had a crush on her since I first met her but never made any advances to get to know her because I was too shy to talk to her.

I found Coco in the lunchroom and I saw that she was sitting next to Y/N and talking to her about something. Coco looked back and made eye contact with me before whispering something to Y/N, who turned to look at me and smiled. She beckoned me over to the table and patted the seat next to her. I took the seat, blushing a little, and looked at Coco who was smirking at me. Coco knew that I had a crush on Y/N so I bet she was planning something and a few seconds later I found out what it was. She leaned against the table and said to both of us.

Coco: You two would be really cute together

I dropped my head and looked at my lap blushing up a storm so I couldn't see what Y/N's reaction was going to be. The next thing I know, I heard Coco's laugh and looked up to see what she was laughing at and noticed that Y/N was facing away from me.

Coco: Awww~ What's wrong Y/N, your face is all red~

Y/N: Sh-shut up my face is not r-red, it is j-just hot that's all

Coco: Yea sure, why don't you face Velvet so she can see for herself

Coco then proceeds to turn Y/N around and push her into me which causes her to fall on top of me as I am now laid down on the bench with her on top of me. Coco gives Y/N a pat on the back and tells her that she has to go do something and then walks off with me and Y/N still in the same position. I blushed a deep shade of red when Y/N turned back to me and attempted to get up only for her to lose her balance and fall with her face less than an inch away from mine.

Y/N: Omg Velvet I'm so sorry, I was trying to get up but fell and now I'm really close to you and sorry I'm rambling, I'll get up now.

She successfully got up and sat back down, giving me a hand and pulling me up so I was sitting next to her. I wanted to ask her about why she was blushing but she spoke before me.

Y/N: So ummmmm, I heard from Coco that you have a crush on me and she suggested that I take you out on a date. So, what do you say?

Velvet: *blushes a bright red* WAIT COCO TOLD YOU! I mean you d-don't have to if Coco told you to ask me.

Y/N: No no, it's not that she forced me or anything, I actually happen to think that you're cute. It gave me encouragement to ask when she told me that you had a crush on me. I was planning to talk to you but I was too embarrassed to ask so when I saw Cardin bullying you, I knew it was my chance.

I looked up at her and gave her a smile then I scooted closer to her and made a bold decision and took her hand in mine and gave it a loving squeeze.

Velvet: If you don't mind, I would love to go on a date with you Y/N.

I was a faint blush on her face as she turned away from me and cleared her throat trying to act tough again, just to try to get up and trip almost landing on the floor. I held in a laugh as she recovered from the almost fall and she turned her head to look at me.

Y/N: I'll uh I'll see you later tonight Velvet

And with that, she turned and started walking away, but I did hear a slight squeal that I can only assume came from her as I smiled and walked to my door to go talk to Coco.
