After getting up from the train ride and successfully getting Everest out of Dumbledore’s beard we headed towards the school. The large stone cascading walls of the castle mesmerized me so much that I didn’t even notice we were walking towards the main hall. I was hesitant for a second looking at the giant wooden doors before letting Dumbledore open them to reveal the grand and amazing dining hall.

“Wow Dumbledore sir, this place is amazing!” he smiled and gestured for me to follow him, so of course I did. We walked along the middle aisle in between the Gryffindor and the Hufflepuff tables. I let my hand drag across the table carefully as if it were to break if I applied too much pressure. 

“I miss this place…” I said lovingly as we continued walking towards the teachers table at the front of the room. The whole year I was here I always loved to wonder what it would be like up at that table, looking out at the ocean of students. “You will be seated next to Rubeus Hagrid. Don’t be nervous about him. He is very nice and outgoing, and I'm sure you will become friends right away. Now, it is time to show you the rest of the castle and your office, classroom, and where you will be staying.”

I nodded my head and followed Dumbledore around the castle. He showed me the other classrooms, The quidditch field, His office, and now he said we would be heading to a special place that I am not allowed to tell anyone else about. I didn’t say anything in response and just followed him till we made it to the end of the seventh floor hallway across from a tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy.

Don’t ask why I picked up on the tapestry and not that we walked passed the same wall three or four times completely silent. After the third time of walking past the wall a door appeared seemingly out of nowhere. I was left speechless when Dumbledore opened the door and walked inside gesturing for me to follow. After entering the strange room I looked around and saw that it was a nice leisurely place with two large dark red couches in front of a fireplace. The walls were a dark yellowy-orange and the carpet that rested under the couches and on top of the hardwood floor had the gryffindor symbol along with its colors.

“What is this place?” I asked before I even knew I was. “This is the room of requirements. Walk past this wall three times while thinking about something you need and the room will appear.” Wow. Alright thats fucking cool! “So why did you show me this place?” He smiled and looked into the fireplace.

“I thought it could help you later on. With your anxiety mostly, here you can be alone and relax. I just thought you would like to know.” This is amazing. “Thank you so much Dumbledore sir. This room is incredible.” I said thinking about the words he said to me earlier. I need to walk by the door three times while thinking about something I need.

“But you can not let anyone see you enter or leave this room. It needs to remain a secret from all of the staff.” “Okay,” I replied looking into the fireplace. Dumbledore abruptly stood up and started walking towards the door. “Now, let's show you your office, living quarters, and have you meet your new assistant.”

Everything seems normal to me except for him mentioning an assistant. An assistant? Why do I need an assistant? “Excuse me Dumbledore sir I-” “I know you are wondering why I have assigned you an assistant. All will be explained in time. Also, please call me Albus.”

Well shit. Alright then. I just nodded at his response and followed him down the hall back to the first floor where he showed me my classroom and the staircase leading up to my new bedroom. “This will be your new living quarters, as you can see all your belongings are here including Everest. Now about your assistant.” As soon as he said those words my ears instantly perked up.

“His name is Quirinus Quirrell and he will be stationed in the other Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom on the third floor. Every week you and him will switch the teaching so you both can have brakes from the children. Both of you have social problems so I thought this would help your teaching capabilities.” 

I was shocked. “Wow, thank you so much Albus it is very much appreciated.” He smiled and waved it off before leaving the room. I didn’t follow because I figured he would have asked me to follow him if he wanted me to. So I stayed and admired my new room. (Btw, the office that lupin and PrEtTy BoY is hers now, but the bedroom is connected to the office so you get a little bit of an idea.) 

Now I need to put everything where it needs to be and I'll have a week to get used to this amazingly large castle and most of the staff before the kids arrive. This is going to be an exciting first year at Hogwarts I can feel it!
