Heya, my pups! I hope you guys like this chapter and if you do please vote and comment on what your favorite part was!!

Once I finished cleaning myself up, I began to make my way down the long corridor of the 2nd floor. The stair cases swapped and changed as I tried to maneuver them, but to my dismay, it was just too difficult for me and I went back up to my room going to get Everest out of his tank. "Hello love," I said to him in parseltongue "hello, where is it we're going?" He asked me in return.

"To play cards with Albus and the rest of the staff." I replied back to him finally figuring out the staircases once I tried going down them again. The castle was so huge it was nearly impossible to find my way around. Of course, my one-year knowledge from before helped slightly, but not a lot.

Finally making it to the great hall I saw the black-haired man walk into the room before me, so I waited a minute before going in myself. Once I entered all eyes were on me and Everest as we walked closer to the table.

"Hello everyone, I hope you don't mind that I brought Everest along?" I said to them as I sat down next to Albus and Minerva, the strange black-haired man sat across from me, and next to him was Quirrell.

"Good evening professors, I should introduce you all to my companion, Everest. He is happy to meet you all. Now, what game are we playing?" I asked the group, curious as to what we would be playing.

Dumbledore smiled and nodded at Everest and looked to me. "Well, most of the staff here, especially Minerva quite like playing poker. She is concerningly good at keeping her poker face." He stated making Minerva laugh.

I laughed along as the other staff and I grabbed my cards and chips, ready to play. Everest stayed on my shoulders as I kept finding myself looking at the strange black-haired man. No one had introduced me to him at all and he seemed so familiar.

"How about instead of betting chips, we bet secrets, or facts about ourselves. Every level up has a higher stake. Like a fact about ourselves, then three, then a secret, and so on. Sound fun?" I asked everyone wanting to get to know everyone else that much better.

Dumbledore smiled widely and looked around for everyone elses approval, which he did indeed get. "Sounds like fun. Let's play." He said passing out the cards and everyone began to play.

I played a high bet and ended up losing it to the dark-haired man. He turned to me and talked in this very low and soft voice that urged me on.

"Tell a secret you've been hiding for a long time. And no lying, I can tell if you do." He said to me staring me dead in the eyes. I'm not going to lie, it scared me to lie. So, I sighed and moved my wand to my eyes.

"Ever since I was a little girl and came here to Hogwarts for my first year I and my best friend were extremely close to each other. Many of the students and staff got us confused because of how alike our eyes were. And when she passed I decided to cover them with an enchantment. That is my secret."

I stated to everyone not uncloaking my eyes. "Now, who's turn is it to play?" I asked aloud until Minerva turned to me. "You have to show us your eyes next time you lose. I wish to see the real you." She said and everyone nodded to me.

I nodded slowly really not wishing to show anyone my real eyes, but I understand that I'm an adult now, and there's no sense in hiding myself now and the fact that I will be working with these people for the rest of my time here as a teacher.

And it is a form of trust. So I played as well as I possibly could finally winning against the dark haired man. "Alright a secret from you.. Uh?.." I said to him not knowing what to call him.

"Severus. And I don't have any secrets to tell. Not that I want to or can anyways. But I can tell you that I have a love for reading." He said in his ominous voice making me shiver.

I nodded to him going back to playing the game. After about 4 or so hours of playing it was time for us all to get some rest. We had the weekend and then school started on Monday.

I walked back to my classroom with Everest, placing him back in his tank with his heat lamp before going into my personal quarters changing into nightwear before going to sleep.

'I know that name... Severus... But from where?' I asked myself pondering over my thoughts before falling into a rest full sleep.

-(- Morning -)-
I awoke from my sleep hearing a strange noise coming from the third floor corridor. I was told that I should be sure to stay out of the corridor and to also make sure no student ever ventured inside there aswell. I was too curious though and walked up the jumbled staircases until I made it to the corridor. I peaches my head inside to see Rubious and Albus talking about something. I couldn't tell what but I jumped when I heard a growl of something large.

I yelped and it alerted the two men.
"Mrs. L/n, you don't have to hide. You may come here and see what is going on." He said beckoning me over. I sighed in relief and walked over to the two looking into the room to see a... a what? A THREE HEADED DOG!?!

"Oh my goodness Albus is that a three headed dog? I've only ready about them in muggle mythology's. He's beautiful." I said really wishing i could get closer to the canine to examine him further.

"Yep, that's fluffy. He's a big sweetheart as long as he's calm. Just playing him some music will put him right to sleep." He said freezing up after realizing what he told me. Albus gave him a nod of allowance and Rubeus sighed in relief.
