Something's not right. Ray never came home from rehearsal yesterday, and everyone's worried about him.
Nikki even called here, pissed 'cause he didn't show up to their date. When she found out that we hadn't seen him, either, she got really worried.
I didn't even know that they were dating.
"Aunt Keisha," I sat, leaning on the doorframe in the kitchen. "Did you know that Ray had a GF?"
"...Hmm, no." She shook her head, chopping veggies olin front of her. "Not since Nique."
"Who??" I asked.
"Oh, yea." She said. "He never told you."
"Told me...?"
"He went out with this girl named Zonnique." She said. "She was really nice, and me and her got along well. Then, he found out that she was cheating on him with some Zoey fool and confronted her about it. When she realized that she had been caught, she dumped him because she knew he still loved her."
"Oh." I said. "Well, don't worry. I heard that he's-(GCO)" I was cut off by my phone ringing.
"Hello?" I said.
"Jayla, it's Nicole." She said, as her voice shook.
"What's wrong, Nikki?" I asked, worried.
"It's Ray," She said, and it sounded like she was crying.
"Don't worry; we'll find him, boo." I said, unsure myself.
"That's the thing- I found him!" She yelled.
"What?!" I yelled.
She was freaking out. "Just come quick!"
And then she hung up.
