Chapter Sixteen: Cries of Ebony

Nikki's POV

Ray just got released from the hospital last week. He still doesn't remember me, or any of his past GFs for that matter.

I'm gonna need him to remember quick, because I miss my RayBandz. :'(

Anyways, he just went to the mall to buy some stuff, and he's been gone for hours. I spent the night at the Lopez's house with Jayla and the girls. But, he never so much as acknowledged me.

I thought he was lying about forgetting me at first. I thought he was trying to subtly dump me. But, then the doctor backed him up, and I was suddenly worried.

I heard the front door open downstairs, and laughter. Jayla frowned, and said, "IK this n!gga ain't bring nobody up in my house."

We all laughed.

"Wasn't it his house first?" Brittany asked.

"So?" Jayla rolled her eyes, and walked downstairs. We all followed her.

"That's a whole fact," I heard Ray laugh. Then, a feminine laugh filled the room.

We walked into the living room, and the frst thing I saw was Jayla frown again. Then I looked at her.

"Who's this?!" Jayla asked.

The girl looked uncomfortable

"Oh, hey guys." Ray smiled. "This is Ebony. I met her at the mall last weekend. Ebony, this is my cousin Jayla and her friends."

The room was quiet again, but Ebony sighed in relief. Probably thought Jayla was his girlfriend for a second there.

Nahh, but I am, broad.

"Come on, E." Ray smiled. "Let's go to my room."

Umm, how about you not?!

"I don't want you going into your room alone with her."

Ray looked at me crazy, and Ebony was confused.

"Since when do you tell me what I can and can't do?" Ray snapped.

"Since the day we started dating, dear." I snapped back.

Ebony frowned, and looked even more uncomfortable.

"I told you, I don't remember that!" He yelled.

"But, it did happen!" I yelled back. "What do you expect me to do?!"

He sighed, and lowered his voice, "Look, can't you just forget about me? I mean, from what you tell me, we went out for like two months. I'm sure we'll be fine without each other. We couldn't have been that much in love."

"That's where you're wrong," I said, crying silently.

"Oh come on! We're in high school. That relationship shouldn't have been so important to you!"

"But, it is! I love you, and you told me that you loved me." I said. "But I guess that was a lie."

"She finally takes a hint," he mumbled.

That's when everyone around the room's jaws dropped. Did he really just say that?

Ebony snatched her hand from his grip and ran out the front door to her parked car.

"Wait, E!" Ray yelled, before turning back to me. "Look what you've done! Always messing something up. Stop ruining my life!"

With that, he ran out the front door, and tried to stop Ebony from driving away.

I was shocked, frozen in place.

I can't believe this is happening to me. What did I do? Huh?

The girls tried hugging me, but I brushed them off and ran out onto the porch. He was sulking, probably cursing me out in his head.

This n!gga has some nerve...

"The reason I can't forget you, smart a**, is because I'm stuck with you. For 18 years." I snapped. "That's right; I'm pregnant a**hole."

And with that, I ran back upstairs to Jayla's bathroom and bawled my eyes out, ignoring the bangs on the door from the girls and the fool.
